Hey everyone. This won't be a typical ride report, but I will be going to Afghanistan soon (yes, I'm in the Army). I'm gonna try to treat this sort of like a ride report and let you guys into the day in/out life of the American Soldier. Let you guys see a part of the world that very few have been able to see through my eyes. When I get my camera charged up, I will work on getting you some pics of my life over the next 12 months. I don't know how much I'll be able to update, but I will definitely try to every chance I get.

    America F**K YEAH!!!

FYI, should go into "Inmates." It will get lots of attention there, looking forward to it.

HOLY CRAP!!! Stay low, stay mean and always remember you have solid support back here.

FYI: I support you on here and I'm a patriot guard rider. You need ANYTHING when you get there you let me know and the guys will rally and make sure you get it.

PS - Most soldiers that go suggest you bring hotsauce, a lot of it. MRE's and the mess hall can get bland. (and extra socks)

Best of luck to you. I hope that uncle sam doesn't feel that this report is some sort of security breech.

God speed soldier our prayers are with you and yours untill your safe return home. OH yeah give 'em hell and don't worry about the questions, they don't know the answer.

Be polite and professional at all times.......but have a plan to KILL everyone you meet.

    ..........until they all come home.

Where are you going to be stationed? I spent a year in Kabul at ISAF. Kabul was nice because you could actually get out and see stuff. It would be a different story down south though...

ANA have some cool rides but don't use them.

This isn't the real deal but local chow is pretty good, especially the bread but skip tiny birds - beak and all. They require a bit of chewing to smash the bones and beak. What the hell, give em a go if you get the chance :lol3

Fly with the Afghans in their old MI 8's, it a good go and no time lost in all that preflight check business ...and they really roll out the carpet for you:rofl
