Hi guys, my bike already has the BMW Touring Windscreen and i'm looking to add the Touratech Spoiler to decrease the amount of turbulence when driving on motorways. However, the local Touratech shop says it will not fit.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I have the same issue. I'm working on a spoiler build from a BMW touring screen. Give me a couple of days and I will show the result. :evil

I would be glad to but it may take a couple of days. I am away from home right now but will take a few pics as soon as I return.

I added a Laminar lip to my BMW Touring Windscreen and it eliminated to turbulence and helmet buffeting for me. I would say it was probably one of the best $85 I've spent on the F800 so far.... :beer

I tried a bunch of different heights and stuff. The best solution for me has been the shorty F650GS windshield. Everything else sucked. 6'2" tall for me.

I fed the stock F650GS screen thru my bandsaw so that it comes up just enough to keep bugs off the back of the instrument cluster.

Although every once in a while I think about the Mirage or the Madstad, esp. when I'm getting buffeted to hell in semi. traffic on I-81 or some such crap....

Touratech tall screen came on my F650GS Twin when I bought it. I am 5'7" and the wind hit me right in the face and there was much turbulance. Thought the price was obscene for a brand-name spoiler, so I made one out of a piece of plexi (cut to shape, bent with heat gun, held on with industrial strength velcro). It can be easily adjusted up or down. Cost $0 and works great! Have had no issues since in many thousands of miles of riding. I will try to post a pic later.

I was able to shoot a quick cell phone pic for you. I'll try to get some better shots this weekend.

I tried the Wunderlich deflector thingy too. It helped, but still not perfect.

    ^ yes, that's Mexico.

I tried every angle that thing can do. No luck.

Mine looks like this now (only flat black...looks nicer black vs white):

Good to hear the laminar lips/deflectors of some kind seem to work well for some people on some screens. A friend tried one and it worked marginally but had a single centre mounting bracket that was distracting to his line of sight and he just didn't like the look of a 'gadget' attached to the top of his screen. For me personally, I resisted getting a Madstad because I felt it was less than elegant, but have finally given in and it works great . . and in fact after seeing all the very odd shapes and sizes and gadgets that are represented by many other windscreen options, I now believe the Madstad is one of the most elegant AND effective windscreen options for the F8 models. JMHO for what it's worth.

I used aTT spoiler on top of a Wunderlich Vario screen for the first time today, and the results were excellent. Highly recommended.
