I run tkc's on mine and have been happy. It is possible to ride a motorcycle without a windshield after all windshields are for motorhomes not motor cycles. Richard

Here's a pic of mine with the 18" rear

The 18" does give you more off road options, although the 17" selection is a lot better that it used to be. The negatives of the 18" is that the bike stands taller, the 1st gear gets even longer & the rim is not tubeless, although I've converted to tubeless with the silicon/sikaflex method. Despite the negatives, I still love the 18"!

Best tyre for 70%/30% off/on is imho the Dunlop Rally Raid D908. The tyre on my bike is a "cheapy" Mitas E 07. Despite it's cheap price, I was quite impressed with it's performance on a recent trip that was about 50/50 on/off.

love the look of your bike, yeah hate the idea of a taller 1st gear, the clutch hates it....someone must do a lower 1st gear....
@ristretto, i will take more pics for u to answer the questions ya

as far as tires go the hiedenau k60 is the way to go with the 17 rim its a true dual sport tire and it actully lasts more than 1500miles "unlike the tkc" I have found that grooving the tire to remove the continuous band around the middle gives better tracion in the dirt too

I used to use the Heidi K60 but the Mitas E09 is so much better all round. The Mitas E07 is close to the K60 pettern and also better IMHO.
