Thumper has asked me to post up the details for the 6th annual ride. I've been on the first five, let's do it again!

We'll run last year's route - I'm too stupid to figure out how to change 'em
    Tracks are here....

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=674934

Start in St. Clair, MO like last year and run it same as the last couple years. See below for the Friday night Hotel info. Folks can leave their trucks there for the weekend if they are staying there on Friday night. Biscuits and gravy for breakfast in the morning to get you going.

Make sure you have someone to ride with that has a GPS....also Self sufficiency is the Key to Success....tubes, tools, GPS, Maps, snorkels, etc.....

Here's some historic info on the bridges:

    http://www.millercountymuseum.org/bridges.html

For those of you coming from the west, you may want to consider making a hybrid from the 2008 route so you can get in the Creek roads in Warren County if you haven't riden them. Great fun, start in Wentzville MO area. We may be able to work up something on this in the next 3 months. Anybody good with Basecamp/Mapsource?

    Here's the previous year's rides...

    2012 Ride http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=758281

    Friday Night Hotel- May 3rd
    Budget Lodging
    866 S I-44 Outer Road
    St. Clair, MO
    636-629-1000

Mention the ride when you make reservations.

Saturday Night Hotel - May 4th
Best Western. Phone number is 573-336-4299
When you call them make sure you get $12 off if you mention the ride. You can cancel 24 hours in advance if you can't make the ride.

For those that want to camp - here's the link http://www.layzday.com/

There is also a primitive camp spot as a waypoint in the file.

and ribs at the Elbow Inn :dg.

Fuel Stops.....I would make sure you have a 130 mile range.

Sunday you have to stop at the Church Picnic in St. Anthony. If you leave about 7:30am or so from the hotel....it works out to get there when they open at 11:00 am....Fried Chicken, Roast Beef, all the fixins, and Pie. Maybe even a train ride! Definitely worth the stop for some good eats

    Let's see who's in. I'll keep track.

Add my name to the list. I might break with tradition and ride something other than a KLR. Hint: it's red :D Ken

Actually it's a Honda. I bought a CRF250L to replace my old XR250L on the farm.

It will be nice to actually touch both feet to the ground and a lot easier to pick up than a KLR :lol3 My nephew has been invited to join in on the fun on his DRZ. It is his first street legal bike and will be his first group ride outside of a closed course. I hope to get in some rides with him before May and school him on the rules. Ken

Can't do it this year. Have enjoyed all the past rides but since it's been on the 5th of May I'm running a point deficit with my wife. Although she gave me a green light to miss last year's anniversary (the 5th) I found that it may not pay off in the long run when it comes to other things I like to get away with. The cost/benefit analysis isn't working on this one. :cry
