brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup, brup . . . Actually very good on the low end AND bit less whiney than the zteknik I had on it before.
O3 R1150 GSA Adventure with Russell seat. It used to be black and dented. I had the tank reworked and everything painted Graphitan.

Guys, A small windfall came my way, and as I've been coveting the BMW GS's for years, was finally able to purchase one. Sure I wanted a bright new 1200GSA, but that's a lot of money to throw at a new bike, and thought a good used 1150 would be a better way to go. Found a low mileage (20k)R1150GS that looked pretty clean, and after a short test ride, jumped on it. This is my first BMW, and my first multi-cylinder bike. Did my maiden voyage last night, and think this is going to be a good relationship.
Congrats on the GS. I have a recently new to me '02, wanting a WR250R and thinking now of selling the KLR. I see you have the same couple of bikes so let us know the future of the KLR. Will the GS replace it? me thinks yes...........................
That looks pretty clean. I'm thinking that you could afford to buy some spark plug covers with the money you get by selling the charcoal canister.
We here in Cape Town organised an 1150GS gathering in which we managed to get 26 1150's lined up for a photo at a destination that these awesome machines were designed to be frequenting See here for more info Tankwa Karoo get-together Here is a picture one of the guys took.
Was missing just the one spark plug cover which is on order along with replacement grips. Not sure yet if I'll remove the charcoal canister. Still reading about these things. I think I read that can help keep the tank from rusting out. Nice to have a new bike, but a whole new set of farkles, mods and research needed. In the meantime, I'll be rinding the fugger.
