Hey Guys, a Buddy and I road around lake superior / thru lake Huron over the 4th of July Weekend. Excellent trip with tonnes of sights.
Great RR. Junac and I discussed taking the same route last year but it never happened. My schedule always goes crazy. I'm hoping to do it this year, maybe even solo, just some road zen time. I might do it in 3 days and qualify one stretch as an Ironbutt.
I have a video that I am processing but its not ready yet. I find it better to go with two riders as solo does have its advantages when your riding but the off ours are more entertaining with a buddy. Also the report did not mention that a bottle of scotch and a couple cigars were consumed at every stop
PULSE CHECK!!! Everyone Alive out there??? Looking for a good wrench for KTM from the Detroit area to Toronto Area. The LaSalle guys are pretty busy it seems. looking for and overall checkup on the 640 Adv and maybe some work, ie carb set up, valve adjustment, suspension setup... whatever it needs really. Want it to be sound for a longer ride. Any ideas?

Im considering nfld, Florida, cali and colorado/oregon area, or even alaska. Still waiting for the bike to come back from Lang's Offroad. once I have it back and can see how a longer ride on the bikes goes, Ill be more definitive on locations...
never heard of the VBR... I left the bike at the shop, was supposed to be done last monday - called today and he said he hadnt got to it yet, I start vacation the 18th, was hopping to get out a good 2 weeks on the road, but not sure the bike willbe ready by the 18th. Link me something to the VBR or something like that, and I might just take ya up on that if the bikes too far behind on getting prepped for the timeframe I wanted.
Here is a heads up anyone riding north of Grand Bend on Hwy 21... From Bayfield to Goderich the highway is all torn up. Traffic is awful!!! To avoid that turn at the motel (Bayfield Village Inn) just north of Bayfield on Bayfield River Road then left onto Orchard Line . Follow Orchard Line to Hwy 8 .There will be several stop signs but when you get to Hwy 8 you turn left and head into Goderich turning at what we locals call the five points and take Hwy21 north. Orchard Line runs parallel to Hwy 21 between Bayfield and Goderich.
I had read about the one lane traffic but didn't think was going to be bad.... I found out first hand last weekend myself. After two follow the leader car I took the Orchard Line Road myself.
grand bend would be a nice meeting spot. I've been working in Ottawa/Gatineau areas all summer and free time is non existent but I'd love to meet you hooligans
