If you *happen* to find a used Linhai 300 for sale in the $1500 range that's not too beat up...I own one and recommend it!

Thanks for all the feedback. There is a lot of good info to look into on these posts. btcn, thanks for the lengthy feedback on the elite.

I would really like to find an elite for the right price as I have a long history with Honda. My first being an ATC 110 (3 wheeler).

However, unless my thinking changes dramatically, price will drive the decision to a large degree. As was pointed out there is a nice elite 150 in the area on craig's list but I think 2500 for a 20 year old scooter is a bit steep. If I get into that realm I would consider a zuma 125 or a Piaggio typoon. I like the style of these two.

BTW, I think the reason there are so many adds in Craig's list is that here in MN this is the prime time to sell a motorcycle or any other summer-use item since we are just starting our 6 months of summer weather.

Elite 150 with 4000 miles for 1100
elite deluse 150 with 5400 miles for the same price
another with 1800 miles on it

And what I love a helix for 1500 but it should go for less since it 23 000 miles but they go up to 100 thousand if you take care of them.

Personally I would go for ether the elte 250 or the helix. Both do 70 Mile per hour, get 60 mpg and are worth about the same amount when you go to sell it down the road. All these scooter are between 1100 to 1500 asking price.
