I will be hauling the bike (fresh set of knobies) in the back of my truck, leaving about the 3rd of April. I have free lodging along the way and when I arrive in San Diego. There is room for another. Break off what you are waiting for, this is what life is meant to be.
Oh, I know, but if I did that my job would not be here when I get back. Kind of need it. Trust me, I reaaaaaaally want to go.
This trip sounds wonderful, dirt as much as possible all the way south. I'm well up for this!! Only issue is its just a tad too early for me to go. If for some reason it gets put off a few weeks sign me up. Whats the route look like in terms of cities, villas, etc. you'll be passing through? When you get back make sure to link this thread to a RR.
Greetings. I'm in Los Angeles for another month or so and had planned to come back here and do as much dirt biking as possible. Unfortunately 6 breaks in the arm has thrown a wrench in the plans. Off tomorrow to see the orthopedic and get an idea how far I am from riding. PM me your number and best time to call and we can chat.
Well looks like I'm out of the ride. Ortho wants to dive in and do some work. Gents enjoy the ride and please post a link in the thread to a RR when you return as it looks like reading is all I'll be doing for awhile. Have fun.
haha, thats why I'm in the position I'm in now. Though the fish tacos sound awesome. Maybe one handed eh?

Pissed my arm is in pieces and missing this trip. So is it basic fireroads most of the way or are there any challenging tracks on your route? Mostly big bikes or plated enduro bikes like the WR?
The bike will make it back up to SD on a trailer. We'll have vehicle support. We're also considering trying to find someone to fly to Cabo, and ride the cabo to escondido leg back up. Leaving Cabo on the 9th and getting back to SD around the 14th. If anyone is interested send me a PM. Basically, we'd be splitting the cost I'm out after selling the bike off. Prob around $400. I've got to head out early, fly home, move-in to my new house, then fly back to AK for work. Its going to be a very busy couple of weeks.
It looks like there will be around 80 miles of pavement. There will be some technical, or should I say "unknown", riding. Otherwise, fireroads and beach. We'll have a wr450, my wr426, and a 250. And did I mention a sagwagon?
