Steve, Just got back from my CO trip yesterday and Thursday I rode Trail Ridge west to east on a perfect morning, Thanks a million for your work on your book and websites.

To the rest of you folks drooling over sfarsons pics: buy his book and get out to CO. It is amazing on a bike.

So amazing I'm thinking about buying a Uly and leaving it in a storage unit in Denver so I can skip the 1,200 mile each way arrow straight ride from Indiana. That's what I was plotting the whole time I was out there:lol3

BigE... Thanks, and glad you had a great and memorable, ride and trip. :nod

I've almost moved a bike. Found myself in NW Arkansas every 2-4 weeks on business, and thought long and hard about placing a bike in a self storage warehouse there. Almost did it.

Coincidently, treated the Uly to a couple of HDR pics today on a ride through South Park...

CO is a long way from home for me up here in Alberta, but that road is calling me. Especially with your excellent videography!

I rode with my little brother to Sturgis - his is the red Duc.

Ironically, the 16,000mi Duc had WAY more difficulties than my 45,000mi Buell - it wouldn't start in Whitefish, MT yesterday morning, and he needed a new chain in Sheridan, WY. Against all odds, my belt survived!

    !!NERD ALERT!!

Ulysses managed to find himself back in Troy. D'oh!

I have to say, the Ulysses is the best long-distance ride I've had. Set the suspension up for "maximum rider comfort" for me and the load - it sops up the big bumps and floats comfortably over the small stuff. I don't think the handling is compromised at all when it's soft like that - it sticks to a line no matter what road conditions it gets. Engine turns pretty lazily at 75mph, too. We did a 90mph push for about 90 miles through 100 degree heat one of the days through southern Montana, and aside from eating about 1/8 quart of oil the Uly was flawless. It always makes me shit when I'm sustaining a 90mph pace, the minivans that pass me like I'm in reverse.

I took the fly screen off for some of the ride and I think I like it that way. The air hitting my neck is nice and clean with it off, but I do catch more bugs. What to do about those unsightly rubber grommets...spikes maybe?

I also cooked my Jardine sticker on the pipe...

Put 1300+ miles on last week and silly me only took one picture of the bike. I need to learn to stop and take more shots of her. Taken up Paris Canyon here in Idaho at the Paris Ice Cave.
