Danger, Will Robinson! You don't have to be a speed demon to scrape a peg every now and again. Best to have folders.
Congratulations! Nice Scram! Best colours too . And what splendid roads to ride it on. What is this valley called? I'd detour WAY off route to ride those roads if I was ever passing!! Awesome!!
This valley's called Goms. It's adjacent to the big one named Valais in Switzerland. Look at Sierre then Brig and Andermatt on google map and here you are.
Just bought a '10 with Ohlins as my 2-up bike. Now, I've got crap to buy... footpegs, turn signals, luggage rack, and who knows what else. Crappy cell phone pic... <table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From junk</td></tr></tbody></table>
looks like Lamented's bike if you are getting rid of the pegs - give me a shout - I want em Good luck with the new Scrambler - Sno Dawg
Yep, it was his. I looked all over the web tonight for pegs, but haven't found any I like (yet). If/when I do, I'll PM you. -Ron
Next week, sept 1st on saturday, I'll do a testride on this '08 Scrambler(just 12.630km's) and if there's a good deal on my '08 XT660Z Tenere, it will be my next bike. Greetz, Hans.
Hi folks just joined the forum, I see I've got 800 pages to catch up on! That'll take some time, up to P16 at the moment ..... Just bought the ex demo 2012 Matt black Scrambler at a good discount from the local dealers, 800 miles on the clock. I thought it sounded rather fruity, and just had a look at the cans and found they were marked 'Not for Road Use'. Seems it's got Triumph competition exhausts, Googling the number stamped on them. Now wondering what to do. If I take it back the dealer they'll probably swap them for the legal ones, but they may hold on to the fruity ones, and the bike will sound like a sewing machine! Ideal scenario would be for them to give me the original ones to take away, but would they do this? Should I just say nothing? Would I be able to pick up some standard cans cheap when he time comes for Its 3 year test (or if I get pulled)?
Scrambling around on one lane pavement... Which leads to 40 miles of dirt road... Which in turn leads to the bar and bloody marys. Over four days & 600 miles... Gotta love it.
I have a Scrambler & find the stock mufflers are too soft & the TOR's are too loud, if only I could find something in between..I keep swapping them. Now I have a Thruxton as well with Staintunes & while still legal sounds great, if only I could get the Scrambler to sound the same. If I was you I would try & get the stock mufflers from the dealer, I talked to a exhaust guy about making the TOR's softer, could not be done however he could make the standard mufflers louder. Hope this is of some help, cheers Terry
Cheers Terry. I didn't think the TORs were too loud until I found out what they were and they were not road legal, now I notice them! Anyway, phoned the dealer up today and the nice sales lady said I could have the originals when I call in for first service next Saturday. So maybe I could have one of each silencer on and halve the noise ;-) By the way, noticed today that the headlight lens had a milky appearance. I took it off and there was a sort of white deposit on the inside of the glass, I was able to remove most of it by poking a soft cloth inside the headlight bulb opening. I wonder if anyone else has had this? Colin
Nice bike! Now someone else gets to answer the billion PM's about the Mods! I miss her already but know she went to a good home. I went the other direction, Snow Dawg is light one G450x today.
