I have met some of these guys, not sure that "clothing optional" is a good option. :huh

Yeah, I had a brief visualization of the dance that night and had to go take an Alka-Seltzer. :puke1

this site is a great idea but it needs to be erased ASAP, WV don't need anymore of us ifiltrators on their horribly bad straight roads with no beautiful scenic mountains to look at, after I cross the WV border..shut it! :D

Very nice website. :thumb I really hope I can help you out some when I'm finally up and on my feet on a bike! Until then, I'll continue to lurk everywhere and live vicariously through all the stories, reports and pictures! :2cry

Thanks! Hope you're riding soon, too. I am temporarily bike-less, but hopefully not for long.

Sorry for the delay replying, but I was in Petersburg mowing grass and hiking.

I was initially thinking of downsizing, but I still have too many fond memories of the V-Strom 1000. Probably my favorite bike ever. I'll start looking this fall for a 2008-2009 with 10K-15K for the right price. There was a REALLY nice one down in SC last week and it sold in less than 48 hours on the ADV Flea Market page. At this point, I am in no rush - doing lots of hiking (very steep 4-miler this morning - going from 1100ft - 2400ft - 1500ft - 2900ft - 1100ft one way, and then turn around and come back) and practicing the piano more than I have in years. When the time is right, I'll know it. :D

I would love to, but it would have to wait until after I've found another job. My pockets are bare, and my 20 year old truck is a massive gas guzzler. :waysad

What area do you live in, anyway?

UPDATE: I just added 2 restaurant reviews - both GREAT!

Marilyn's Corner Cafe - 1401 Staunton Ave, Parkersburg (Off Rt 50 / only about 3 mi west of I-77)

    http://www.ridingwv.com/FolderDinerReports/MarilynCornerCafe.htm

Pizza House Family Restaurant - Rt 16, Harrisville (5 mi south of Rt 50 off Ellenboro exit - about 40 mi east of Parkersburg)

    http://www.ridingwv.com/FolderDinerReports/PizzaHouseHarrisville.htm

If you're traveling out Rt 50 west of Clarksburg, these are both easily accessible. Enjoy!

nice website, hope you don't mind a yankee from PA using it to find some new roads! I've ridden WV for the past 25 years and I'm still finding great places to explore.
