    Hi all,

I just noticed the crack has developed in the plastic all the way around the tank.
The bike is just few month old and never had been in a crash or anything…

Anyone have seen this before? Should I be concerned (I am going to talk to the dealer anyway of course)?

    Thanks!

    Thanks!
It is sad really! I was under impression this problem was fixed for post 2010 bikes!
The fricking BMW can't fix the plastic for the last 5+ years!!!

I suspect it is occurring because of people not having enough dirt on their motorcycles... it is like rust on old cars, it keeps them together :rofl

There is some unique variable though. I am intrigued only by that. I think we need a poll...

Happened on my 2010 model and my new 2013. Dealer replaced under warranty (bike only had 400 mi. on it). New tank doesn't appear to have any issues so far.:D
