Well, last year's teaser was a success,
so Mustangshelly and I decided to host again this year :norton

This is a rider's rally first and foremost,
...with the campfire sessions each evening,
and LOTS of food and fun.

I want to share our excellent riding experience with you all :clap
Tent space galore on our place a few miles outside of Parkdale, Oregon.
Plenty of inside & covered space for those that don't wanna bring tents, and don't mind the sound of snoring.
Plenty of Truck and Trailer space, and Motorhome/Toyhauler space, too.
There's two B&Bs within 3 miles in Parkdale to help entice MortimerSickle to come,
and Motels/Hotels are 16 miles away in Hood River.
...and if Mr Cob comes, we'll have to wheel THAT monster setup in first !!

Invitation rules: You are all invited, even all of you FFs.
Come from near, come from far,...just make it here.
No costs, unless you wanna pitch in for food.
    Simple rules, eh? :lol3

Food will be a combo of pot-luck, so bring whatever you want....
Breakfasts will be all PotLuck, we'll use the house stove, and I'll set-up 2 Waffle Irons.
We have a BIG charcoal grill, a classic campground-type campfire grilltop, and a Propane Weber for all to use.

We'll also provide 3 dinners (Thur/Fri/Sat) for those that wish to ride here, and/or want to avoid bring food,
....but we'll passing the hat to cover our minimal food costs,
(we're talking just $3-$5 per meal, here...)
    ....Thursday Night: Fajitas, of course,...
....Friday: Taco Bar (soft, taco shells, and/or Taco Salad)
    ....and Saturday,...BBQ "Lots-O-Stuff", with..."The Sauce" !!

The Hood River Valley Rally begins Thursday afternoon, October 4th, but come anytime you want Thursday.
This will allow TWO full days of GREAT riding for Friday and Saturday.
And Mustangshelly has offered to lead a Ladie's Ride, to keep everyone happy !!
Then, on Sunday, October 7th sometime....GO AWAY!! (...or spend the night if you need to :D)

I will have pre-traced out FS Ranger District maps.
They are the BEST for showing all the little stuff.
Hood River and Barlow Ranger Districts are our local Districts.

I will have plenty of these Ranger District maps ahead of time,
they are only $5ea and make GREAT souvineers.
I'll have these maps here with traced routes of whatever type of riding you want.
    Or,...just follow me.....:freaky

It's as varied as you want.
Beautiful paved only loops, easy gravel groomers,
and loose rocky fun stuff with a creek crossing at the bottom.

Dawg, I love living here :clap

    Whew !!:knary
    Welcome, all !! :clap

Hood River County is a HUGE 85% Forest; County Forest and Mt Hood National Forest.
Very little is closed off to Dual Sports :1drink

There will be several rides planned out for you that both of those bikes will favor.
Neither bike will be out of place, nor will you need to travel far to find the good stuff when you get here....
...but RIDING here is encouraged, although there is plenty of space for cars, pickups & campers, and even several Motorhomes.
The ADVENTURE to & from, can be the best part of any event.
But....Whatevah!! Just get here and have a good time :norton

All of your dogs are welcome here, too!!

    Street-only sport bikes will NOT be bored;
Epic Single Lane Forest Pavement is 2 miles away,
with several other Single-Lane Pavers within 10 miles.
Long, 15-20 mile long, Single -Lane Pavers.... :tb
40 mile long, EMPTY two lane Forest roads are 15 (fs44) and 25 (fs48) miles away....and together, they'll make an EPIC paved loop.

    True dirt-only two-track is 8 miles away,
...sweet FS gravel is all around us.

    Last year's dirty favorite, was Mill Creek to Suicide Grade;
while difficult,...many did just fine on big bikes,
and some wished they were on smaller bikes for portions of the ride.
    2 were on KLX250s, a WR250R, a DR650, two V-Strom 650s, 3 KLRs, a GS650 and a 990.
I will suggest no Garage Queens for this particular ride. Falls happen :deal

There's enough choices here for ANY bike, even unplated dirt bikes.
The FOUR nearby, Stellar and HUGE, County OHV areas will be reopened by October (now closed for fire caution)

    ........................................

    So the question is....
...what are YOU in the mood for?
