For me, my best one was the ride in Southern NM: Rim Trail 105

That trail's really nice considering the epic scenery, here's a vid of it.

My fav of the year, for the misery I witnessed.
I won't name these riders to protect the innocent (me), but it was fun to see these gnarly mofos suffer a little. I, of course, suffered as much or more but thankfully the camera was pointed the other direction....for once:lol3

It's impossible to tell, but this section is as steep as it gets. I don't know of a harder trail.

Lot of great rides in 2014. Old friends, new friends, all good friends. And we are lucky to live in the great Southwest with all of its great riding and spectacular scenery. Some glimpses of 2014:

Didn't get as much riding as I would have liked. As always, the Monkeybutt 500 is my favorite, both in the ride itself and the preparation. The day Raul Duke and I did scouting was just a fun, long big day of riding and a variety of terrain and weather. I didn't get any picks from that, but here are some gleaned from the MB500 thread.

One of my local happy places, Wilson Mesa Trail.

Somewhere behind DMR, either Dutch or Jones..

Great shot from the Alpine Trail
    [IMG]

some oh so yummy goodness on Pole Creek (or was it Lost Creek?)

    The ragged finishers...

My other memorable ride was with Vxzeroknots in January. Mainly because it was 50 degrees, clear skies, and we had most of Pinon Mesa to ourselves, and we got some decent miles in. Felt so good to break up the mid winter blahs...

Here's hoping to an even better 2015!

After a season of battling an electrical problem on my DR650, the best ride of the year was the first one after I replaced the pickup coil on the stator and hot my old bike back.

Now I am suffering from moderate to severe MCDD (Motorcycle Deficit Disorder). Need to get some trips planned for 2015 and get the vacation days scheduled.
