Motobrant's original thread index. Let's just keep this thread focused on links. Delete your posts after links are added. Thanks. If you have a question or comment about the 690, go to Crank's or Seth's threads, which are linked below. I'll start to add the stuff that's missing and update this in general. I just discovered the 690 Megathread has vanished & my post count dropped about 3,000 post :ddog . Can someone tell me the Twin Air foam filter part # is, that fits the Rally Raid conversion kit ?? Fried Duck . .
Can you add the "Round the World KTM 690" thread to this index. It has a lot of useful info in it on what the poster did to make his bike RTW capable. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=566295
Hi everyone! Question that I cannot find the answer to... Does the 690 water pump need preventative rebuilding like the 640 does?
never herd of one failing yet so I wouldn't think so. Then again maybe every 690 owner is secretly doing preventative rebuilding like on the 640 and thats the resaon nobody has mentioned it :eek1 I'd beter rush off and preventatate mine just in case
Hi Juames, Personally, I got about 30k miles out of my first 690 and never touched the water pump. In the old 690 thread, a few guys were replacing seals etc.. Immediately, only one or two come to mind that actually experienced failures, and those seemed to be along the lines of regular wear and tear. You would probably get a more thorough answer to your question HERE.
Accelerating through a left turn in town, bike completely shuts down.... no power at all.; did not accidentally hit kill switch; battery wiring did not look disconnected. would not respond at all to turning of the key I waited for about 10 minutes --> fired up with a "FI - bat" error (I believe it said) with tachometer showing redline and clock reset. Made it home (1/2 mile) and parked it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for the input.
Interesting, looks like a confused ECU, possibly regulator/rectifier related due to over voltage on the system. Or your battery completely disconected and reconnected without you knowing.
I bought an 09 a few months ago. When I'm riding snottier and tighter trails, I tend to clutch a lot. Several times, I have lost my clutch completely, look in reservoir, no fluid. Where does it go? Is this the bad clutch slave issue, and will replacing the clutch slave solve my problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
