Seat to peg distance looks super short- better than a 90 degree bend in rider's knee at rest.

Sort of curious myself....obviously the side bags would be a problem, but hopefully the topcase will still fit. That thing is expensive...especially after you add in the $100 piece of foam for the wifey to lean against.

Not that I'm going to trade...............yet..............:evil

That number will change according to a riders inseam length of course but you seem to be spot on. www.cycle-ergo.com has the knee angle at 88 degrees for a 6'2, 34" inseam rider (me). My 2010 GSA measures 90 degrees for the same rider specs. It does look like BMW tightened the triangle up a bit. NOT good news for tall guys like me with bum knees! Good catch Jabba!

That calculator thing is cool - I'm going to be happier because my 08 GS knee angle is 85, I'll be 94 on the GSA :clap

Oh darn, I need those extra Newton/Meters. Gonna have to sell the 08 K12GT AND the 09 R12GSA and get me one of these new ones.

    Not the Adventure model.

I would be curious to see the leg positioning between the Adv and the standard GS. Up to this point they were always pretty much the same.

It's the same frame, so it will depend on what seat and which foot pegs you use.

Check the cycle ergo site I posted above. It has measurements for both the standard and the adventure model.

Here's to hoping some of us hear about our bikes tomorrow. I am half expecting my bike to get to the dealer tomorrow which would be nice as it would beat the snow storm in.

Would you say it looks faster than the green or blue?

On pins and needles until Thursday. Buddies plan to drive me 100 miles on Saturday so the first miles aren't in a trailer. The high is expected to be 40 degree so while not comfortable at lease doable.

I saw the blue one in person yesterday at the Arizona Motorcycle Show - it looks fast! Even faster than my Olive Green Dream Machine? Time will tell... My dealer said only two more "sleep wake ups"! No demo rides yesterday:arg. I did however get to throw a leg over the beautiful blue display model:D. It took a half dozen super nice BMW reps to talk me down out of the seat! These models are a thing of beauty. I think aesthetically BMW have built/designed a near perfect bike. Stay warm on your trip through frozen tundra to pick up your bike on Thursday... I'm very thankful for all this sunshine and wish I could send some out your way! Until Thursday...!
