Two Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort in Suches Georgia has been a major part of the motorcycling scene for over 30 years. One of the saddest things I have ever heard was the announcement made yesterday that it would be closing for good.

I have been going there regularly for over 20 years and have many great memories. The place itself had tremendous character. It was surrounded by great riding and scenery. Most of all, it was a great place to meet riders from all over the world. TWO will be missed by thousands, and it cannot be replaced. I took quite a few pictures there but wish I had taken more.

I am starting this thread so everyone can post their pictures, and memories here.

Another 20 year old pic. This is one thing that made TWO unique:

No cars allowed! Frank started TWO because he was pissed off when he was turned away from a campground because he was on a motorcycle.

One time a customer made the mistake of parking his car in front of this sign, then leaving it there and going off riding. He was a guest staying in one of the upstairs rooms. Frank was waiting for him when he returned and said.

You have failed as a customer. GET OUT!!!

My first visit to T W O was in the 80's, i dont remember what year but it was a long time ago.. Frank even had over flow camping at the Airport when the regular campground got full..we still try to make it there at least 2 sometime 3 times a year from kentucky and it has changed some but it is still the best campground anywhere..i will try to find some pictures..

I stayed there about 2 years ago with a good friend. Really enjoyed the place especially GT and the lodge and the great food and people. Thing I liked about GT besides his great culinary skills was that he was just a plain straight shooter. Here are a few pics from my trip,

Poor quality photo, but there is a story here. My first trip to TWO and the mountains by motorcycle was taken in 2001. The guy in the black jacket is my best friend, George. We have been friends since we were 8 years old. George was shot and killed 4 years ago due to a domestic argument between his girlfriend and her ex husband. He was 31. The first picture was taken in the parking lot of TWO, and the second on the Cherohala Skyway. End of an era I guess.

We've had an annual Suzuki VX800 rally there for the past 13 years or so. Here's a pic from maybe that first year. We had 22 VX's there.

    That's me...

Camping at TWO, maybe '05. Had one of the worst thunderstorms I've ever been thru that night. The awning over my tent and my little orange cbr ended up about thirty feet up in those trees by morning!

Outside the lodge, 2008. The Ducati Multi 1100 was by far the most fun bike I've ever ridden in the N. Georgia mountains!

Probably one of the last big VX rallies, maybe '04. We've still had sizable rallies all these years, but usually only 2-3 still show up on VX's.
