cooked battery

    This is what happens when you charge a sealed motorcycle battery on a 10amp charger for 4 hours...

    My charger has multiple amperage settings, 2a works well for the bikes. Unfortunately, I last used it on my van and forgot to switch it back...

    Yep. That's what happens.
    Battery Tender is the way to go.

    Sadly, I have one. I don't have a plug attached on this bike, and couldn't find the alligator clip adapter cord, so I used this charger instead. All I'm trying to do is get this bike running so I can sell it... Another $80 down the tubes, had to stop by the local auto parts store and massively overpay for an old style battery this morning cause someone's on the way over to look at the bike today.

    I know. I caught it in time, the case busted open, but no cells split so there was no release of bad stuff. Stupid me. :huh

    Old Ben Franklin said "haste makes waste" lol Been there, done that kind of thing. Sucks, but sometimes it happens when pinwheeling trying to do a lot in a short amount of time.

    If I were you I would go out and buy a new battery, a battery tender and a lotto ticket.....
    The lotto ticket is becuase your obviously one lucky SOB since that battery did not burst and leak all over your bike :lol3
