:nod:ilmostro:ilmostroOther regions are getting together! Just last weekend I did meet a few more at the MC show. It would be nice to sit and have a beer with some ADV Riders, talk about the summer riding season, check out some bike mods, and just chill. How many area riders do we have on this forum?

If an obvious spot isn't known, maybe it's time to claim one that is not a 1st Thursday situation such as Dulanos and the likes of other spots already popular and in reserve for others. Market BBQ in DT Mpls comes to mind since they have the back room should we need the space and off street parking. For now, can anyone share a spot with me, or maybe 'the' spot, where I'm likely to find ADV Riders to create a monthly meet and greet. Something in the 20 mile range of the Twin Cities.

For the record : The first M&G was held at Mkt BBQ after the MC show (with out the MN BMW owners club or the Glacial Lakes club, a few TeamStrangers, just by chance, happen to be there)---> JAN08. Oh, and Dave was not there man.
The second M&G was held FEB08 @ Mannings.
Always check back to the first page for current news on the next M&G.

Manning's (on Como Ave.) has a back room, a fair beer selection and a decent menu. There's also Mad Jack's here in Brooklyn Park. Outstanding menu and beer selection, and they have a back room. I don't know the specifics about it, but I can look into it. Market BBQ DT is hit or miss--sometimes the parking lot's full. A better choice would be the one near Wayzata.
I can probably think of several other places, once I put my mind to it.

Are you looking for a set place, or could the meeting place be moved around? I know lots of great places within a 20 mile circle of the Twin Cities. Here's one that I know a certain someone is familiar with.

I go here on occassion for a great burger. Plently of parking, great burgers and very motorcycle friendly. Few American built bikes stop here as they go down the road to Renegades. Right on Highway 13 and within 3 miles of some great riding in the southwestern part of the 7 county Twin Cities area.

In my neck of the woods, just North of Saint Paul, there's GreenMill off
Lexington - The Stadium and or Bentley's off 61 and E

Which direction from DT mpls are we all coming from.

Woah, JJ! You've been reading my mind haven't you?

We do need a T.C. spot to meet & greet & eat & drink!

What say we pick a different spot each month to throw a bit of variety in until we find something that fits good? JJ, since you started this thread, you can have the honor to pick a spot next Saturday and we'll all show up. :ear

I have a weird schedule and don't have all my Saturdays off, but this is a good idea and I'll show up when I can.

Have not been there since before the fire last year about this time .. The Manning's I knew was one of the best burger deals in town. $10 gets you a burger, fries and a schooner of beer. It's like a Happy Meal, for grown-ups!

    Who's been there latley?

    Darrell,
Have you been to Turtle's in Shakopee? Their claim of "Minnesota's Best Crispy Fried Chicken" is a bold one. I feel a Fried Chicken Challenge is in order!

Since I'm only 2 or 3 miles from there, the Green Mill sounds good to me!

    OK,
I've been thinking about this Saturday and the Location line up. Lets start this Saturday to get this rolling ,,, but I think we will need to change it to midweek by Spring since we will be riding on the weekends to rallys, cabins and such.

Sitting, you know where, the idea of Advent ~ Wednesday came to mind since again under last weeks influence (Catholic ... I'm NOT) of Ash Wednesday ... that maybe by Springtime we could change over to Wednesday. Now we just need to decide which week of the month 1st - which we may want to avoid due to 1st Thursday, 2nd, 3rd or 4th ?????

Some one else pick the time for the meet & greet and it will have to be after 4pm since I will be at the beauty shop getting all dolled up for the event. HA ! I also think we need to know who is celebrating their birthday during that month (when the time comes) so we can buy ya brew.

FEB ~ Mannings on Como Ave ---> This Saturday 16FEB08

Woah, one meet & greet at a time, please!

    This Saturday 19:00 sounds good.
The "next time" plans will give us something to converse on for the future "ADV - (insert day here)"

Oh yeah, I think it's my b-day this month, too!

Kevin, Yes I've been there. Good food and parking. Great place to hang out if you are a NASCAR fan especially during the races.
