I was sifting through a few photos, and decided it was a waste leaving them clogging up my hard drive. I thought I may as well do a blatant rip off of Marks thread 'Maungakotukutuku Diary' (with his permission, as he features in a lot of these photos), and start a kind of diary of my own. Not having an english teachers vocabulary, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

A bit of background. I've been riding bikes for 30 years in one form or another. Farm bikes, dirt bikes, road bikes, and now somewhere in between. The photography thing is quite recent. I'm an absolute novice, but living in a country this beautiful (New Zealand), it's pretty hard to stuff it up. Yeah, I'm that guy who stands around with a camera, taking pictures instead of helping out when the going gets tough.

These may not be technically brilliant photos, but they stand out to me. I like photos that tell a story. I'll keep updating as I get more 'worthy' shots. With a bit of luck, I may improve over time.

If anyone objects to any of these photos, let me know and I'll pull them. Any comments are welcome.

I'll start with one most of you may recognise

From all ex-English colonies, territories, influences etc... is Canada the only one that changed to the right side?

To put a long story short, there were no cars when the US took his independence. But there were cars when the other colonies were given their independence. So, when the the traffic code was applied in the US, they decided to go the right way, I mean, to drive to the right.

BTW, all those pictures of yours are great. Keep them coming.

Bugger you Bart. I'll never be able to post another P&S pic again on this site!!

They look great. I sat & watched the Adv home page pics roll a while ago & my chest swelled with pride seeing the pic of Eddie & co all misty riding thru reefton.

Now if only we can get a pic of Nordie on the ground - or stuck- or with us hitting him with big sticks till he's on the ground:wink:
