Max's back!

Hey: i just saw that Max, Joe and Doug have entered BRS.
They bring a level of professionalism and class to the RallyMoto's, and are great guys on top of it.

Plus they are on "Big Bikes", it seems like in the beginning of the RallyMoto series, in 2007, there were lots of heavy bikes entered, which to me is the "spirit" of the RallyMoto events, but lately most of the entrys were smaller "dirt bikes" types. Maybe the Max Team coming back can help increase the amount of entries for this great sport.

Wish I could be there.

Jack

Amazingly, I think I'm ready to go. Tires swapped and oil changed. Bike is ready. Doesn't really feel right not to be rushed. Now I just have to pack myself and get some good local Hampton Roads beer to share. I think I'll try to get a growler, or at least a few six packs of Smartmouth.

Burning the 9:00 pm oil

Preps in progress: Remove the Altrider rack/Rotopax mount, put the Pirelli Scorpion Rally on in place of the Heidenau, remove the center stand, mount rollchart holder.

Amazing bicycle lights available these days. Fluxient 1600 lumens. Mounting is a bit tenuous. More innovation to be attempted.

Cool2 Rally prep

I was also finishing up the bike last night. Super-moto wheels came off. Dirt wheels went on. Added some extra lighting. I think it's ready to go...

Well, I guess I need to go back to the brewery, otherwise, y'all won't have any to drink.

Indeed, I had intended to ride my R100GS. Someone came along and offered me a good price for it. So it is sold. I will use the funds to rebuild my classic racing bike ('70 /5). Racing gets expensive rather quickly.

I'll be there spectating, riding from stage to stage, probably be at a couple of start/finish areas.. If you see a lost looking guy on a black 950 hanging around, give me the ADV Salute.

If anybody wants a place to camp I have lots of yard space and a well outfitted garage/tools/hardware/etc. just a few miles from Croghan. LMK!
