Merry Christmas to you all. It is -5 outside now and I am dead-bored.
I decided to post here my recent pics.
This report here is about Proto-Thracians. This time I was after their graves, but I am not a hunter, I swear.
In fact I was determined to get the whole of those Emperor Anastasios Walls, lying 56 km from South to East and dividing the Marmara Region-Thrace into two. But I failed.Maybe next time we ll see that, but it is chilling these days.
On the road. This plane tree is 810 years old.(The one with a flag on it)

One must be really rich to spend so much on these walls.

On the way, there is a restaurant which serves really delicious trouts.
    From inside:

I ate up. SR1; you missed so many things. You didn't keep your promise though you were in Istanbul phoning me. Don't find another lie for the next time,K?
Well,I started my trek, about 2km up the hills.

Recently, I made another visit and below, you'll see a selection of pics.

    Venturer,

As an ancient history buff, I really liked this one! Pity how some folks have no respect for the dead, or the history/knowledge they pillage for the sake of something so trivial as wealth...Thanks so much for all those great pictures! I need to read the rest of your reports now!!

    :thumbup

Now, I need to win the lottery so I can tour England/Ireland/Scotland, Turkey, Italy and Greece, the Holy Land....ugh!!!

Nice RR Venturer, there is soooooo much history in Turkey that is uncared for, I see it all the time, I wish the government would care for these things before they go forever.
