have you road one, I am not going to call you a cheater, and how do they ride. And NO, I am not giving up my BRP
Nope haven't even rode one yet I really like the looks of the 530...just cant chunk out that kinda cash for a bike. I'll stick with my BRP...It really is a AWSOME ride. Hodakaguy
While I got you, is your head light HID or Halogen? And did you have to rewind your stator? If so, did you have to up grade any thing else? sorry for all the questions
No problem on the questions, thats what the forum is for. The light is the halogen unit. I have a Ricky Stator in the garage for the bike, just haven't installed it yet. Right now it only has the 35w bulb in it, after the Ricky install I'm going to run a 90W or so bulb in it and run the light directly off AC. Right now its all stock except the light unit. Since this light doesn't have a high beam I used the high beam switch to run the KTm radiator fan that I installed. Hodakaguy
Christmas is coming and my list is getting bigger, so another question. Did the KTM radiator fan help, and how hard was it to put on?
The KTM fan moves quite a bit of air, will be great on long slow grinds ect. Installation was really easy, you have to mod the ears on the right radiator a small bit but it doesn't take long. I'll dig up some pics. Once installed it looks factory. I think its well worth the money, were planning on some long desert rides next summer and there is a good chance it will come in handy. Here's mine: Baja Designs dualsport kit Stage 2 cam ditched the Edelbrock for an FCR Pro Circuit exhaust CRF forks & front wheel SCOTTS low-mount steering stabilizer Baja Designs 4" halogen Fuego headlight EBC 280mm front brake kit Easton EXP bars Trailtech Vapor Cycra handguards IMS Pro Series pegs Unabiker radiator guards re-shaped seat Fourstrokeworks subframe extension IMS 3.2 / Acerbis 6.6 tanks dirt / street wheelsets (both 21/18")
The inverted forks are a nice touch! Let me guess...Is that Brad21 pictured 2 above roasting his clutch?
Man, where do you guys find these? I looked high and low. Nicer than the others but it would be nice to have 2 waterproof 3 way rocker switches (high/low/off and turn signals) as well as a nice micro switch push button for horn. Keep looking and save me from having to make one!!!
Give them a call. Looks to me like they might be the type of company that would be able/willing to make something custom for you.
I'd love to see a couple pics of how you have the Scott's mounted. I'm in the process of installing a CRF250R Frontend and was wondering what others have done.
Just ordered a CRF low-mount kit and had them substitute a 650R headtube mount. Other than that, it was a pretty straightforward deal. The link-arm is a little-bit off-center when the front wheel is pointed straight though, so the range of damping and nuetral is a little different in each direction, but I can't tell the difference at the handlebars.
