Now that weather is starting to get a little cooler you might be thinking of a heated jacket liner if you don't already have one.

From now until the 22nd I'm going to be doing a group buy of the Powerlet Liner, controller, and any other Powerlet Product you might need for your winter project.

The jacket unit pricing is based on the following discount structure.

    5 people = $150 ( 25% off )
    20+ people = $140 ( 30% off )

Controller pricing is a flat 30% off.

All other Powerlet products are 10% off.

More info can be found at the website ..

Feel free to drop me a line with any questions you have and if you place an order, toss in a FYYFF so I know ya saw it here :freaky .

Any reviews of the Powerlet gear out there?

If the quality is similar to Gerbings I would take 2 jackets and 2 controllers.

I got in touch with the Marketing person over at Powerlet and he told me that so far the liner has just had press releases over the last month in various mags.

Review is underway and should be complete and published in RoadBike in
the next issue as well as being run in succeeding months in American
Iron. They also have other reviews underway as well as long term testing that will be available in the future.

Fit and style is similar to the Warm N Safe since they both utilize a small Lycra section on the sides and underside if the arm for optimum heat transfer to the body. Actually, all of the spec's are exactly the same between the Powerlet and WarmNSafe  .

Are they produced by WarmNSafe or is it a copy which they address on their website?

Based on some PM's I changed the verbage a little about the group buy. Between people thinking that THEY had to buy 5 liners to others wondering if they could get one for a family member I figured my wording could use a little polishing. Hopefully it's all cleared up now.

WarmNSafe manufacturer. Here are detailed spec's on the Powerlet Proform Heated Liner

Actually it works out to be about the same. Or close enough. If you use the Warmnsafe group discount, the controller is cheaper but the jacket is not if this group buy reachs 20 + people.

From what I have read, you cant go wrong with either vendor.

Just thought I would share a story about Powerlet. I was at the BMW dealer in Detroit and noticed they had a bunch of Powerlet products hanging on the wall. Unfortunately the dealer didn't have the part I wanted. I asked about ordering it and found out that Powerlet was only a couple of miles down the road. (BTW: All of this was done with a disgruntled - you're wasting my time attitude.)

Now, mind you, this is a Friday around 4 pm when I finally pull into the parking lot of Powerlet. I tell them I want an BMW accessory plug. A couple of minutes later one of their techs comes out and asks what kind of bike to I have. I tell him and we walk out to the bike.

The tech asks more questions about how I wanted to mount the plug. Where I was going to tap into it for power. He runs back inside to get the parts. By this time a couple more employees are outside fawning over the bike. All these guys are bikers. All of them think the 1150GS with Jesses and all my other doo dads is one hell of a ride.

The tech comes back out with a voltmeter, wire cutters, zip ties and asks if I would like to have them install the plug. 10 minutes later the plug is installed more professional than I ever could do it myself.

No charge for installing the plug. Discount for buying more than one item. Great story telling and just a great bunch of guys that care about service.

Well Gang, based on feedback I've gone back and revised my pricing. I've updated my posts and they now reflect the new pricing but in a nutshell between 5 and 20 people the liner pricing is going to be $150 . The middle level was eliminated to make it more attractive.

Feel free to PM me with any questions you have :freaky ..

Oh yea, I'm heading out of town for the weekend and might have limited web access so if you PM me and don't see the numbers go up don't worry, I'll catch up when I do get access.
