Have no set agenda / route at this point...

Anyone up for a big bike friendly off pavement ride next week (9/10, 9/11 or 9/12)?

Rode up in the hills this morning. After that gully washer last night, the dirt is perfect!

Can anybody recommend a good water crossings route in the CO area? Looking for a good dirt/gravel ride from Bend w some H2O somewhere in the middle for this weekend.
If nothing else, we might just do tumalo falls to Sisters.

Do you know where the Squaw Creek crossing is? SE of Sisters

No, but I'm heading that way to go find it!

The weather was just too nice to not go for a ride today! My son was over from Portland, and he happened to bring his 650L along . We headed up from Tumalo Falls to see if the snow was too deep to keep us from heading over 370 to 3 Creeks - it wasn't .







We beat our way to the top of 3 Creeks Butte for an awesome view..!





Everywhere you look, it was beautiful out today!


We honked on the way by your place, Wachs!

Finished the day with a BBQ Chicken and Bacon sandwich at Deschutes, and a couple of red ales.

Ok, back to work tomorrow....

We were up in those hills too but thanks for the honk!

Trout Creek; Trout Creek road north/south btween the Ochocos & Ashwood. It can get too high, and now that the hills are getting rain, may be.

Crooked River, east end of Big Summit Prairie in the Ochocos. Adjacent to pavement and an easy crossing, not over your hubs.

South end of Logan Prairie, south of the Strawberry Mtns (Grant County). Five creeks join to form (Malheur R. ???). This can be a DEEP crossing.

Miguel, we passed you goin the other way on Alfalfa Mkt. that day, beautiful day for a ride indeed!

Pretty freaky to pull out and head West, meet you guys within 2 miles of my driveway headed the other way; then go for a 100 mile dualsport ride and meet you going the other way within 200 yds of the driveway like 4 hours later!

You say "beat" your way to the top. That can mean many things.

There's like about 8 creek crossings on this route, IIRC. Many are small, one can get outta hand when wet, but they had graded much of the road when I rode it in September last year, and I haven't been back when it's wet-ish

Just a little bit loose and rocky in spots, that's all ;-D. I hooked a melon-sized rock with the rear tire which set me sideways at about 30mph. Saved it, but really not sure how!!
