looking to replace the stock exhaust on my 09 g650. does anyone know the model numbers of the two brothers or leo vince that fit the bike? any suggestions on which to pick?

Thanks for the info, not sure if that would fit the 09. I wentt ahead and bought Two Brothers M2 Titanium Slip On Exhaust System which was sold for the 05-07 BMW F650GS (pretty much the same machine as my 09) I called max's to double check. info below. http://www.nicecycle.com/Two-Brothers-BMW-Exhaust-p/005-2000408v.htm I'll update when I get the pipe on my machine
Anyone know if the new G650GS mirrors would fit a 2009 G650GS. I don't see why they wouldn't? I'm just not a fan of the circle mirrors of the old 650's, and want to swap them out for the newer look.

For those who PM me about the black/red seat and those who will ask its a "Euro" seat(South America, Australia get that seat to). Here's the fiche for the Sertao You gotta be able to change out the front wheel fender, part 1, and then add the extender, part 5. I know some pre-2009 bikes don't have that black part on the front beak (part 4). For those, I don't think it would work. But I can't see why it wouldn't work on the post-2009's.

I got it with the bike. I have a spare one similar I was thinking of saving in case I ever need it after some knarly crash. Persuade me enough and maybe I'll sell it to you. you have an offer? its in great shape, a couple minor scuffs.
I am going on the Rick's Rondevouz rally in May and want your advice on protection for my 2012 G650GS. I was thinking about getting the BMW engine guard and someone suggested I get the bash plate instead. Should I just save up and get both or would one of them be enough. I do not have much experience with rocks as I live in Florida and this is my first Dual Sport bike. (Mostly sand, dirt and red clay around here) Thanks in advance for your wisdom!
I'm fairly sure the engine guard is for total spills, i.e. when/if you lay your bike down. The skid plate, on the other hand, would be better for rocks/clearance issues, and would probably be utilized far more than the engine guard. I say get the skid plate instead of the engine guard. Unless you're going super offroad where there's a possibility of laying down your bike every 5 seconds, I never saw the appeal of the engine guard.
The OEM skid plate (rounded aluminum plate under the engine) is actually pretty flimsy. It will deflect loose gravel. For something serious you need to go aftermarket. I bought the OEM one with my bike, ended up getting one made of 1/4" aluminum plate for more protection. The water pump and clutch are vulnerable so having a bash plate that wraps around them is a good idea.
