Does anyone have a flywheel puller for KTM SX, MXC, EXC that I could borrow for one day. I picked up a basket case 400SX and need to see if the crank is salvageable, repairable, or just scrap. Thanks.

I wouldn't be worried about the WR and wringing its neck for long periods of time on the highway. The motor was designed to run at those RPMs. It's not exactly comfortable, but it will do it. Dingweed has got 30K+ miles on his WR and just keeps on going.

BTW, I didn't have a chance to talk to him tonight after getting home late. Will try to corner him tomorrow.

What side of town are you on?

 Nope, the tiger is not an XC its a roadie. Beyond some dirt roads not riding it as a DS as you would expect and I didnt buy it to be used as such.

The last time I spent a lot of time riding dirt was back when I had my KX80 in high school which was a long time ago.

There is always skill building whenever riding any motorcycle IMO but if you are getting at my picking a 250 before moving to something bigger that is not the case. The 250 would be used for day trips mostly with maybe some longer trips up to Utah and CO. Like I said lightish weight, super reliability and good mpg are important to me. I know its not going to be a Goldwing at 70mph for the inevitable pavement runs but it seems to do it better than expected from what I have read and like you say, people seem to be able to run it hard and the bike doesnt complain. It will accept some electrical load for heated grips and gps also. Not saying Id never get something bigger just not planning to do so.

I am near Speedway/Wilmot.

I appreciate your offer to meet at reddington. At this point I am just interested in checking out a WR so I guess if that is an opportune time to meet someone with a WR that is willing to let me ride it I could meet (Sunday?).

Sounds like the WR is a perfect solution.

We're up By Snyder and Kolb. I'll keep an eye out for Scott this afternoon and see if we can set something up. At the very least you can ride up here and hopefully Scott will let you run around the block.

I'll let you know when I talk to him.

Well the Tucson Crew are on their way back home after a punishing, grueling and physically exhausting experience riding here in New Mexico. The sand is quite tough on you if you can't figure out how to ride it. We did manage to ride 13 miles out of the 40 mile loop we normally do.

Skip did "skip" out on us, and I did had to give Cathy a saucer of milk after the ride...

RG night. Skip & I will be there. 6:30p as usual. We'll tell y'all about our little ride the past 2 days up to Pinetop and how riding out of Tucson at 1p is a bad idea when the temps are in the 105 F range. Couldn't get to a higher elevation fast enough.

Braved the heat today - and tried some new (to me) roads on the east side of Mnt Lemon.

My buddy left his KTM 690 in Colorado and took his Russian turnip tractor instead.

With lots of water and the evap vests it was actually a lot of fun.

I figured I would post a ride since it's been months, so check the ride thread. Right now it's just me and a friend, just going to head over reddingotn and up mount lemmon, should be a very easy and relaxing ride. We're leaving early to beat the heat(6:30 at Circle K on Tanque Verde)! Probably chill on mount lemmon and grab a giant cookie, feel free to join!

So, how about a nice showing this Thurs at the RG ?
We can tell stories of how Allyn and Nigel are going to swap lead going up the back side of Mt Lemmon. I'll already be up top, relaxing with a cool beverage whilst those pokey riders bring up the rear.
