E15 to E85 coming to a pump near you!

Well it's here at the pump...E15 all the way up to E85. Now what do I do?

Beyond the simple mis-truth here, in the same sentence they say "E85 has about 27% less energy per gallon than gasoline", followed by "it offers increased vehicle power..."

I've seen TV ads at 3 in the morning that sounded more honest...

What they are saying is that if you redesign the engine for Emore, you can get higher power because Emore has higher octane which supports higher compression?

I'd be fine with the E15, if it meant the other gas would drop the E10 BS, and go pure petroleum.

What chaps my ass is the bullshit in your post. At most E-15 will ding you 5%, if you're getting 20 mpg on pure gas, you'll get 19 mpg on E-15. Hardly a back breaking reduction.

But you're not running pure gas now, are you? So the difference between E-10 and E-15 will be .33 mpg if you're still talking about that 20 mpg average.

I'm begining to think that you must be in the corn industry, as a lobbyist, farmer, etc. Why do you deny any and all evidence of negative effects of this product in vehicle fuel? Surely sir, you cannot deny there have been problems with this additive?

Your math and your science are flawed. E10 and E85 are more harmful to the planet that burning ethanol free gas.

It isn't cheaper. It isn't better. It is subsidized through legislation and without governmental help it would FAIL! It is bad for the environment. It is bad for a lot of engines from cars to motorcycles to lawn equipment to boat motors. It is the biggest fraud pulled on the American public in history.

I just put the facts out there in these threads. Speaking from personal experience, ethanol hasn't caused me any problems as a motor fuel additive and I run through $100k in gasoline usage per year along with even more diesel.
