As a professional photographer I used to subscribe to an American photo mag that featured a "Show us what's in your camera bag" article each week. Usually they would turn out some working pro's bag on a jetty or a kitchen table etc.

So based on that.. post a picture on your bike shed's work bench. Don't tidy it .. show us it in all the glory of the current state of mess.

Here are my 3 work surfaces:

    <a href="http://s940.photobucket.com/user/clayfieldstudio/media/Shed_Bench_1_zps25112888.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad249/clayfieldstudio/Shed_Bench_1_zps25112888.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Shed_Bench_1_zps25112888.jpg"/></a>

This is my main "fiddle" bench with drill press and assorted crap. There is a belt drive compressor under the bench too!

    <a href="http://s940.photobucket.com/user/clayfieldstudio/media/Shed_Bench_2_zps9427c92d.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad249/clayfieldstudio/Shed_Bench_2_zps9427c92d.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Shed_Bench_2_zps9427c92d.jpg"/></a>

Seeing as how I started out as an auto electrician I had to have my "electrical" bench with regulated power supply, DSE iron and my trusty classic 1968 National Panasonic radio for entertainment. The bench itself is a Aldi potting bench. It has a drawer that holds multimeters, jeweller's screw drivers etc. The top is actually timber covered in gal sheeting.. I added rubber as an insulator from Clark rubber. it's good to look at this picture.. i have been looking for my tyre pressure gauge for days.. there it is next to the power supply!

    <a href="http://s940.photobucket.com/user/clayfieldstudio/media/Shed_Bench_3_zps4ee1f93c.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad249/clayfieldstudio/Shed_Bench_3_zps4ee1f93c.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Shed_Bench_3_zps4ee1f93c.jpg"/></a>

This is the "main" bench. It is lower and ideal for working on motors or in my case changing lawn mower blades.

As usual all of my bench surfaces are covered in crap and I usually tidy them once a month. (Next weekend I promise)

You may notice a lot of Aldi tools in there too!

I had a big problem with bloody geckos crapping on everything including the bike. Tried everything.. solved it by running the bike for 10 mins once a week with the doors shut!

    Mine is a mess...as usual..

Welding bench, covered in non welding utensils,

Workbench, a final drive being reconstructed, bits everywhere, probably wont remember what bits are new and what bits are old, by the time I get back to it.

BUT...lets make one thing perfectly clear...this in not just any shed, its My MAN shed, the escape hole

Lathe, with a pin being built up and machined off, been like this for the last 2 weeks...

Just to get from one side to the other of my workshop, requires an extra 20 min traveling time!!

This bench seems to be just a place to put things, that may be interesting, need fixing, or just plain broken...

Even my relax with a beer, looking at things chair, is otherwise occupied.

My garage floor is generally used as a bench.

Most of my mates have user friendly garages with wood fires and chairs
