Dammit. Now you've got me thinking about putting a fairing on my /6.

I'd never seen that model before - thanks for posting it. It's really gorgeous.

The Pichler is looking like an option for my bike, as well.

Great, this is the sort of info that is super-helpful. At 5'7", that suggests that the airflow boundary will hit me at the top of the helmet, which means my head will be in the aiflow for ventilation but the faceplate will be in still-ish air for quiet and comfort. And if I need quieter air, the extension is available, as well as "laminar lip" aerdynamic aids. Now to evaluate whether the extra storage of the ST is needed-- I use the fairing storage area a lot, but in the Vetter the space is V-shaped. The Hannigan's appears to be more squarish and I suspect that I'll end up with the same or more storage with the SS.

JOOC, I rescaled a couple of images and made a comparison between a Hannigan ST and a Windjammer:

EDIT-- I called Hannigan today to inquire about price and availability and the message on their machine was "Closed til September: We're off to Alaska". I'm impressed. :)

EDIT2-- I was at my local bike shop today picking up supplies and they had an idea: Memphis is only a couple of hundred miles away. 450 miles from home to Paris AR. Might be able to do it as a 2-part daytrip in September when they get back. This way I could ride out, inspect and evaluate, pay for it and have it shipped, and get a NICE roadtrip out of the deal.

    Hmmm.

My friend and customer, Charlie Nassau, bought the fully-faired Motorsport graphics K100. The bodywork was disaster, splitting and cracking everwhere. Turned a lot of heads, though.

I have no idea what kind of fairing this is, but I like it. I will say two issues I have with it are the upper left support brace is shorter than the right side. Makes no sense. Maybe one's in metric? :D

The other issue is that the arc on the windshield is not symmetrical. I have loosened the fasteners several times to retighten, but I can't get it "perfect" . . .

I've seen and ridden w/ a Jacwal behemoth on a GL1000, yet haven't seen one on an Airhead. Most of the Jacwals I've seen usually have broken/damaged mounts.

    $40 Jacwal.:D
