Hey guys, this is MUST SEE trail crash footage!

    http://youtu.be/kH_Jfo7mpQ4

I'm sure this vid will cop a bit of floggin for the riding, helmet removal and the music, but glad to say the rider is ok and so is his missus after having to watch that live! I must have watched it about 100 times.. ride safe

    Enjoy

Wow. The video was pretty epic.

While I enjoy riding fast as much as the next guy, I can't understand riding and unfamiliar trail (which is a total assumption) as such speeds and trying to take an unknown water hole so quickly.

I did the same kind of thing last season...scared the shit out of me. It looked like a long, shallow puddle, but ended up being almost 8" deep. I didn't end up like him, but it did scare the shit out of me.

She should never have removed his helmet like that, had there been a cervical spine injury the potential for a catastrophic ending was highly possible.

I'm happy that he was able to shake it off, and post the video.

meh~ get your butt off the seat and get in the attack position if your going to ride like that. Mud puddles are made for wheelies.

Agreed, should of been standing in attack position, which is something I have repeatedly told him when riding with him... STAND STAND STAND!

For what it's worth that trail is multi-used by bikes and 4x4. I used to enjoy it as it would throw all sorts of challenges at you, ruts, washouts, whoops, sand, all combined with a good solid speed!

The track was recently bulldozed relatively flat, I'd guess he managed to hit the only decent hole on it. :rofl

The other guys already covered poor riding technique and helmet removal. Damn, that music is horrible! What ever happened to the good old days when kids listened to Black Flag and Slayer?

Maybe she wanted to off him, removing helmet that way would speed things along. Seriously cameras have made the crazies do more crazy things in hopes of being on u tube!!

put something on and stay in that position.
I don't even know why Black Flag and Slayer would be mentioned in the same sentence. And Black Flag people are mostly in their 40's or older by now.

That being said, the music made me hit the mute button faster than that fellow was launched off his RM.

Does the woman fling saliva out her mouth at 3:25 as she falls?

Slayer's best known albums were released in the mid-80s, they have been around for 30 years. By that measure they were both "old school" when I was in elementary school, Black Flag predates Slayer by all of 5 years.

    Its a valid comparison.
