G`day Sean-o, After Plastic Right Hand Side Cover in white, I bought some soft panniers that supposedly didn't need racks but melted me side cover on the exhaust on the CREB track a few weeks ago

So i dicked around on Saturday afternoon and swapped these over. Going to be interesting to see how much difference there is between them. Took it for a 10klm loop around the block to make sure all was well after the install and had no leaks etc. Chucked a few skids in the bush and it felt alright, although it was dry and slippery. Need to go for a decent ride now see how it goes, what has changed and where. Would be interesting to get it back on the dyno to and see were the torque curve has moved to. It doesn't feel like it has lost any low down torque on my short ride. The idle has changed a little, as in it sounds a bit different. Ohh, and the pegs are way more comfortable to stand on, pretty happy with them.

Anyone use, found or know of a nice clutch perch with a decent adjuster, mine is pox. The adjuster keeps binding up and trying to cross thread and i cant stand having to pull the lever all the way into the bars when stopped. I like being able to just use a couple of fingers on the lever with my outer two around the bar/grip and just pull the lever back to the front of my fingers.

Yeah time will tell, but they have had full investment from HRC so my guess is that it will be improved by Dakar.

Imagine that with an XRR motor....

Not too bad thanks poppy. Nothing visual since the last photos but the forks I got from the states are busy getting serviced as they have been in storage ever since they were raced at Baja.

It has taken a lot longer than expected but that's half the fun!

At least the XRR motor would be a bit more reliable, never a DNF due to mechanical failure in Safari, unlike CRF450.

I don't think it is as nice as the one GHR and safari built for Dakar last year. the bit up around the front guard looks a bit poxy.
any one got a solution to rear brake fade?

Anyone wanting to do the rally fairing mod I'm thinking of offloading the 'Africa Queens' fairing and light/gps mount that I bought a couple months ago.

It is the one that fits the Acerbis tank best but is unfinished (not painted etc.) so can be adapted to any setup.

Google Jmo xr650r images and you should see it in use on another inmates XRR.

Not confirmed yet but any interest just PM me for more details/pics.
