For the past 4 years the PAR group has hosted a ride across the Eglin Reservation just before Thanksgiving (and hunting season). We hope to do the same this year.

We can always meet as we have at Spec Pond.

    However

Several people have asked about a ride through Black Water State Park instead.

That may be possible and if there is enough interest we may see about switching venues.

The date (second weekend in November) can also be changed if any other event would conflict and cause riders not to come. There is a lot going on during Oct and Nov.

I would appreciate some feedback on this so let me know.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Turkey Trot here are a few vids from the past to give you an idea.

Gonna be lots of riding opportunities in the fall. :clap
Its probably the best time of the year to ride.

Cheaha is the last weekend in October.
    Every year since 04.

Barbers Vintage Days is October 11,12 and 13th.

Blackwater sounds good as long as we can get our campers at Karrick. Another idea is maybe Madhouse's kin can let us use their land near Holt. From there we could get into Blackwater and have plenty of camping room without the worry of folks being left out.

Too bad we can't find a place that's near enough to Elgin and Blackwater to ride both.

I agree but there is just no way. The Black Water and Yellow River get in the way.

I already discussed this with Madhouse and we can stage as his kin's property and ride Blackwater from there. In effect we would be combining the Sweat Fest with the Trot. No fee. No camping permits. No Eglin Permits... just show up and camp/ride.

So sometime over the next month we should all decide on what we want to do.

Like Madhouse said lots going in in October and then also in Nov. Lots of folks go to Cheaha last week in October (I want to go also this time) and then it would be only one week to Trot. OR We can slide the Trot another week.

Lets get feedback and decide. Madhouse is open to what ever.

You out of town guys give is YOUR wishes.

Yes I'm ok with what ever is decided and can help with whatever.

Indeed we are between BW and Broxton Bridge from the Sweatless Fest staging area. To get to Broxton, you just head south past the drag strip then WEST on dirt roads and pop out on 87 at the Tom Thumb.
    NOT a good route for 1100 GS's! :lol3:rofl:rofl:lol3

I didn't think about that. We might actually plan a ride to Brox and visit all the downed/abandoned military equipment out there...

    Another option.

I was thinking the same thing as Tony. Broxson Landing is not that far a DS ride from Holt and BW is right there. This could encompass the most mileage of any Trott! We could also throw in Area 90 for the single trackers!!

Pick a date Vic so I know when to plan this year's Souper-Bowl:deal

I made the TT2 (as Pete Court ala the videos Vic posted up). I can tell you - *THAT* was a great ride! But alas, since then, I've sold my truck (can't pull a camper) and my DS. All I have is my charming good looks and an old Honda Transalp.

When this thing comes together, I'd love to participate even if it means that all I'll be able to do is hang around the campsite and tidy stuff up, and take an easy beast day ride through BW.

If anyone would happen to have a spare bunk that I could borrow, I'll deffo compensate you for the favor via food, money, or chores!

I could reserve and rent a porta potty like I did for the last time I spent the evening with you FFs on MH's property...:deal

BZ - we all understand that life gets in the way BUT we miss ya out there.

Got a lots of n00bs who have never seen a BZ dirt bike.

I would change the dates if I could but that would put us in Hunting season.

For now and probably for sure... the dates are as advertised in the title
    8-9-10 November 2013.

That two weeks after Madhouse's Cheaha Ride but before hunting season.
