Rain is returning on Wednesday. Tuesday is the day I can ride.

    Options I'm interested in;

    1. Stage north of Lake Berryessa for a DS RIDE thru Knoxville OHV and then Reiff/Rayhouse Roads to Cache Creek, Buck Island, etc, and back. 100-mile range needed and bring your lunch for the trail. Easy to intermediate terrain, with an optional hard split or 2. Anyone know the current status of Reiff Road? When its wet, its SNOTTY!

    OR ...

    2. South to Hollister SVRA to ride the Renz ST, etc...

Anyone interested in either or something else? Unless someone offers a better idea, I'm doing one of these on Tuesday.

    Let's Ride!

Only a little snot in just a few wet places. Mostly perfect moisture & traction everywhere else! :D

The 100-mile KnoxvilleOHV, Reiff-Rayhouse, BlueRidge, & BuckIsland loop somehow grew to 119 miles. :hmmmmm
We must have done a little exploring along the way. :ricky Tread Lightly!

Got back to pavement before dark, and back to the truck without going on reserve.
Dinner at the Rockville Bar & Grill was pretty good. The blonde bartender was even BETTER!

    You missed a FUN one!

is that area doable on a 950 Adventure for a fairly good rider?

Yes, if they can negotiate the locked gate AND its not too wet. Most of it is easy when dry. When its wet though, the clay areas turn into "Moose Snot on Teflon(tm)!" Then the moderately-steep, rutted hills could get exciting!

NEXT WEEK ... watching the weather and will probably ride somewhere on Wednesday or Thursday. Where would you like to ride?

Rain again on Tuesday & Wednesday.

I suspect it will be Friday before Carnegie or Hollister will have all areas open again. Let me know if you are interested in either this week.

Ms.Beta is ready for her desert trip next week. The rain finally stopped.

Everything at Carnegie is open except the SRI loop. Ride tomorrow (Wednesday. Dec.19). Arriving by 11AM & riding to 3 or so. Dark-green Toy Tundra between Moto Mart & restrooms. Riding my (black&blue singletrack) practice loop a few times.

    Anybody wanna go play tomorrow?

Heading to Carnegie with Ms.Beta on Wednesday to practice some JL-School exercises and ride the fun 20-mile singletrack loop (black & blue trails) once or twice.

I'm working late Tuesday night, so won't get to Carnegie until 10-11am. Dark-green Tundra between Moto Mart & the restrooms.

Got your email and thanks for reaching out. I may try to make it to Hollister tomorrow. I have done a ton of work to my bike and need to get it out there. I was hoping to get my gearing changed before I rode again but wont be able to do that before tomorrow.

I will post up later tonight if I can make it. Not sure if I can make there by 9am as I will be coming from the Danville area.

    Thanks!

I understand. Carnegie is getting very dry & dusty, so I don't mind riding by myself. Did you see the new trails cut into the SRI Loop area? Right above the MX track. They weren't open yet the last time I was there. I was SHOCKED! NEW TRAILS about to open at Carnegie!?! :eek1 :clap

I replaced the rear tube, seat foam, & seat cover today. Test rode Morgan Territory. :ricky Pssst, I'm further north than you! :lol3
