Called the P-61 American Rocket, this prototype was built by Sam Pierce in hopes that Indian would produce a model based off of it. The engine borrows parts from a number of automobiles and it's pretty impressive that it actually runs. There is detailed description of all the parts he used which is worth the read.

Damn, what a cool bike! Why didn't any of the major manufacturers get the hint and build a rubber isolated motor earlier? And the amount of work that went into the engine must have been staggering! This guy was far from your average motorcycle nut!! :eek1
