great video and FINALLY someone has good taste in music on their vids! i have GoPro HD and leave it on the setting you have. 60 frames per second at 720p is good for fast moving moto vids. i don't think you really need to go to 1080p but of course, it would be that much clearer. it would just take A LOT of battery and memory. i have two 32GB cards and two batteries i carry with me on rides and i ALWAYS go through the two batteries. i usually use one 32GB card per day, so two day rides i need the extra card. as far as editing, i use a Mac, which comes with "iMovie". it's got all types of goodies to play around with and the more you do it, the better and more creative you get. i look forward to more vids!!!
Nicely done. Although I have practically no experience in video editing I like the idea of videos. As soon as I buy a decent camera I'm planning on concentrating on videos for my rides. I hate typing. In the meantime ... jeff
Nice vid! Those less than 5mph, I'll-just-ease-over-this-log crashes crack me up. I've BTDT... Nothing like a slick log to wake you up.
Thanks guys! I enjoyed making it, and looking forward to learning more edits and better video techniques! also improving my riding hahaha
great stuff. and thanks for the editing tips. I was looking @ Adobe movie and other ones....seems the free version is the way to go!
hey, quick question. What does the camera do when you run out of space on the card while filming? does it just shut off or does it display something on the screen?
when the card is full, it will display "FUL" on the LED screen. when the battery runs out, it just shuts off, so i keep checking the little "battery" display ( --- ) on the ride so i know i need to conserve or pop the other battery in. i look at it with my mirror. i have those cheapy Acerbis mirrors. (this is also how i know the camera is recording. look in the mirror for the blinking red light)
Good job, Dave! I like how you used different perspectives as you shot the video. I gotta get the GoPro HD. I have the regular one, which I bought just before the HD came out. Just can't afford to spend extra money right now. The GoPro HD looks great; they are awesome little cameras. - Jo
Thanks Dave. I've been looking at the Drift HD 170. My old camera, a kodak 5.0 mpx died. It took great pictures. So I've been researching alot.
Nice Vid Dave. I haven't seen that many Rhodo's in the woods since hiking down there many moons ago. Good tunes, filming, editing and fun times.
Nice video and editing. Many of those trails look like railroad abandoned road beds. Looks like a few buds could have the trails cleared up in short order. The "log trolls" wouldn't be biting your tires then. They have gotten me many times, but now days I take the chainsaw or axe to them. It's kind of a revenge thing... I made a chainsaw mount for the luggage rack so I'm prepared for pretty big stuff (20" bar=40" log). Dave
Yeah, those logs at an angle to the trail have taken me down on bicycles and dirt bikes more than once. Great video, makes me want to RIDE! And it inspires me to roll up my sleeves and play with some video one of these days. Great job, thanks for sharing.
