I did grow a goat tee for awhile. But it looked like I had a chin full of pubic hairs. Had to get rid of it. I am just starting to get weekends off now. So Ill be able to do some Saturday DS rides. Ben

The trail was semi-difficult 30 years ago.

Does anyone have a M5X20 TX30 screw? I have 2 BOLT Metric Hardware packs, but neither has the correct screw. The nearest shop T.O.P. of course doesn't have them in stock. Maybe Eric's will, I'll check. Otherwise I'll have to get creative. It's a rear fender mount screw.

Joel, remember when the SE VRR blew, I replaced that and the battery (I'm now a Shorai crash test dummy). It also blew all the bulbs, hope thats all.

Revived the Harley today too, weird security password challenge stuff.

6:30 AM Saturday at the pucker pad?

Rohwer Flat OHV is a good place to check out. It's just north of Santa Clarita on Sierra Highway. There is an easy, well-maintained dirt road in from the highway to the staging areas and difficulty goes up from there (single track, hills, etc). There are lots of other dirt roads closer to Pasadena but I don't believe any of them are open since they closed after the Station Fire. I hope someone else can help you find something closer if Rowher is too far.

Thanks Jon, Rowher is great. I thought I had heard something about a trail from azuza to cleghorn that cut out the 210/15.

Used to be a trail called Big tree Cucamonga but we called it Sapphire cause it started at the North end of Sapphire st and went to Lytle Creek I used to take it alot in my Baja Bug there was a 5' diameter tree blocking it though, so we piled up rocks on one side and jumped over it
last time I did it was late 1980's? early 1990's? last I heard after one of the bigger fires they had a bunch of landslides on it and it was closed down
don't know if it was ever reopened I need to check into that cause it was an awesone trail
I'm guessing it was 25 miles long or so

there's the bear divide, off little tujunga. not sure if this is still connected to the 210 or 14.

my best bet is rowher, tule, and sawmill.

paul, i have a dozen or so M5 x 30, stainless steel button head; also have the ktm bolt kit which has assorted sizes.

    + 1 on true value.

you should get to the Pucking Pad earlier since we have to load up the bikes, and it's about 70 miles to McDs.

i'll bring a cooler, a dozen beer, 2 dozen coke, water, bag of chips, bagels, and cold cuts for lunch (same stuff we had at toroweap) + 5 gals of fuel.

    anything else we should bring?

can't wait to ride the wheelie beast.

Sounds like maybe several peeps are trucking to Mojave.
I'll need to leave pretty early to get to Mojave by 0800 taking the back roads on the brokeback beemer. Are you eating breakfast or heading out @ 0800?
