Please Join Us for NMOHVA’s
Rubber Chicken/David Garret Memorial Ride!

October 18-20th, 2013
Truth or Consequences, New Mexico

Last year's inaugural event was a great success, and we're hoping to organize an even more enjoyable rally this year!

Join NMOHVA for our 2nd annual Rubber Chicken/David Garret Memorial ride, a fund-raising, AMA sanctioned dual-sport ride to raise funds in support of NMOHVA's ongoing fight to maintain OHV access to our public roads and trails.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect during this event :

• 3 great days of dual-sport motorcycle riding in the Sierra County area around Truth or Consequences, NM.
· Friday , Saturday, and Sunday will feature a variety of dual sport, single-track, and road riding options through the mountains of Southern New Mexico.

We will be riding the Monticello "Box", along with Burma road, Winston/Chloride, and a ride up Chloride Creek into the Gila, and over the Continental Divide, along with the Palomas Gap, and many other cool ride routes!

All riding at this event is strictly "no fee", and at the event participant's discretion. Maps of suggested routes will be provided and we anticipate plenty of people who would be willing to let others follow them as they explore the beautiful and varied scenery around T or C and the Gila National Forest.
· All road riding requires a legal, plated bike. Trails system riding requires a valid NM OHV sticker or sticker from a reciprocal state.

Event Registration Cost: $55
Here's what you get:

• $15 "La Cocina Bucks" certificate, which is redeemable towards any menu items at our Saturday night dinner/raffle (excludes alcoholic beverages)
• $10 gift card from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC (check the appropriate box at the bottom of our registration form)
• Event T-shirt------(design is posted up on the thread)
• Event decal------(design will be posted up on the thread soon)
• Raffle Ticket for a chance to win some of the great raffle prizes our event sponsors have donated!
Here's the link to NMOHVA's website/event registration page:

Please keep in mind that NMOHVA is not charging for the ride opportunities at the Rubber Chicken Ride, we're charging a registration fee for the Saturday dinner, ride T-shirt and event decal, along with a great opportunity to win some cool raffle prizes at the Saturday night dinner.

There are two reasons for this year's event; to raise money for NMOHVA's Access Defense Fund, and to have a memorial ride for my buddy and fellow NMOHVA member David Garret.

Please support NMOHVA, as we are fighting to maintain our OHV access to public lands for our use, and our children's use.

This looks like a ton of fun. I might try and get down for at least 2 days. I think it would be fun to ride the 950 down:wink:

Nice work Magoo

If you haven't ridden down that way, the area is a lot of fun, and pretty much completely 950 friendly.

It's a fun ride Ben, I doubt you'll have any problems riding this on the 950, it's a chilly ride down though.

Hey, quit looking at August and flip over to October when the dates would be: Oct 11-13
or Oct 25-27

Your welcome. :rofl

Hmmm those are both mid week days?
Not sure i can make either of those time lines. Tough to pull off a Wed Th, Fri. for me. In any case I will watch the thread to see what days this ends up being.

Right now it doesn't really matter which dates you pick, I have no idea of my schedule and can probably make anything work around it.

And since I always stay at the Desert View when I'm riding down there....I don't care if the Firewater's full. :D

I do want to hit that nice Italian place again though.
