This year will be interesting for me, I plan ship my Husky from WA to SF and then trailer down with Fergus. I enjoyed my 3000 mile ride on the F800GS last year, but extended driving around the PNW in late winter is a little derp and I'm not keen on doing it again this year. :huh

it was impressive that you rode your bike from home to dv last march. give the 800 a break, leave it in the garage....and make sure you don't crush the garage door....

What would be a good tire setup for a noob on a f650 dakar? I've been debating between getting some TKC 80s or something even more aggressive (T63, D606 etc). The TKCs would be more useful once I get home, but I would like to have tires that are somewhat confidence inspiring.
