    The REAL story...

The FIRST time I attempted to change a MC tire myself - had done hundreds of bicycle tires so I knew the basics, but the scale is very different - I took 2T up on his offer to visit his place. We had the tire off, and I was spooning on the new one when the spoon slipped in my hand. It clanged around for a bit, but VANISHED. I figured that it had slid under some bit of something on the floor, so grabbed another spoon and was nearly finished when I heard that horrible Psshhd sound that lets you know that you have to start over again!

A few cus words later I was taking the now pinched tube out of the tire and out pops the spoon that I had "lost".

Pretty sure we were still laughing when the bead was set and the wheel was going back on the bike.

Still funny all these years later. Good thing WE swore that each other to secrecy. I say WE, because 2T was watching the whole scene and didn't catch it either. :deal

Front, or rear? In either case, I might have noticed that. wow!

Just giving G some crap and he knows it. If he was in my garage last night, he'd be biting his tongue today, or not. :lol3

Stupid human tricks. We're all capable of them.

On the upside, that's a nice tire iron to walk away with.

Eastern ferry lands in Argentia, on the Avalon Penninsula. Amazing shoreline, out and back dirt to isolated light houses, bird sanctuaries, and of course caribou barrens on the interior. Oh ya, St Johns... Might give the RTR.com folks a shout, they have all the info. :deal

Thanks for the offer to everyone from the gorham crew.

When I first moved to the town, I foudn your garage for car inspections and noticed the bikes sitting behind the shop. I knew I found the right garage.

I will let you know what I decide about the tires. I may just end up having the guy at the phoenix shop throw them on for me.

Hopefully I will be able to catch up with you guys for a ride this summer. I am planning several rides from Gorham so I can hit every microbrewery in the state.
