What a great group of guys, and a wonderful ride!
Please accept my apologies for not thanking everyone sooner, but I arrived home from this great event and was immediately hit square in the face with devastating personal news.
I'm trying to work through this now, but the outcome won't be good, short or long-term.

But please know, I truly enjoyed everyone's kindness and companionship shown to me, the newest member of this great group. I won't ever forget this.

Sincerely,

ktm950se / Alfred

update

What a difference 3 weeks can make!
I took a ride out to Serpentine Lake last Sunday and rode the same bit of two-track we (Zaner32's group) rode into Serpentine Lodge. a bunch of it looks like this now:

C-Stain's bathtub and a few other mudholes are still there but a big chunk of the trail now shows the results of heavy vehicle traffic. I'm happy we have resources revenues and that people can make a living, just too bad it sometimes messes up the trail riding.

Also, Serpentine Lake looks even lower than when we were there... not good, I think.

I'm going to put a short RR with some video in the Day Tripping forum if anybody's interested.

cheers
FRB

Thanks for the update FRB. They've been cutting for the past couple of years just west of the Meridian Bk Rd. The lake looks too damn low.. I'll put a call in to DNR to ask if it's normal.

Amazing what can happen in a week or 2.

Sometimes progress sucks.
