from wilsons to the tip

be going on a little ride from wilson's promentory to cape york via lake eyre and the birdsville track.was wondering if anyone had some tips or advice about what to expect along the way?

Kangaroos.

Expect to see kangaroos. Possibly even before you've even got off the Prom.

lol,was after advice on fuel stops and good places to camp.and maybe a good pub
