Yup. I didn't want it in JM cause then... well, you all know the chances of getting a real answer over there. All the other LWR threads were in here, hence my choice. I figured a mod would move it. As for all the suggestions, thanks. I think i dug up most of those answers myself anyway. I've given up on watching it on my TV. I got a Mac cause the graphics are great. so that'll do. I don't plan on watching it all the time anyway. I did successfully convert it all on my PC in the lab and get it to go on a DVD (haven't watched it on TV), but I suspect that with my conversion, not pro at all, it won't look great on a TV. Regardless, I still need to find a way to get episode 5 on a VHS tape for a certain Canadian friend!!!
Could someone direct me to a website where I can do the downloading. I've been out of the country for a month and have missed the entire series. Thanks! Curtis
the information you need is in this thread, on pages 6 & 8 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57585&page=1&pp=10
Go to the LWR site and follow the DVD link. Amazon.com is planning to have it out on Dec 6th. My guess is that it will have a lot of extended footage you won't get on the download.
Yeah, I know - again, I wasn't trying to be subversive - it just became more of a tech challenge to me to get it done. The boxed DVD will make a great gift So BTW, I still need to get episodes 5/6 on VHS (I have them as .avi's now)...
I used Nero to burn a "video-cd" of each of the episodes. Uses a regular CD-R. The qulaity isn't as good as the AVI and my computer won't play them, but I was happily surprised when they played fine in the DVD players I've tried them in. Mebbe a good enough way to make copies for some friends that simply want to view them on the tube. Cheap enough fer sure to just give 'em away...
really? this is good news because I can't seem to get the .avi to convert to a high enough quality where my DVD burning softwars gives me a green light for DVD - but VCD is ok! Cool, I'll try.
