I guess Chris got his team's deal in place before JU got Hammer's deal done. Some folks are still being hush-hush, which inserts some WTF-ishness to the whole deal. When everything is signed and in the sunshine, we'll certainly read another release about it.

But for now, my statement stands until JU prints something to the contrary. In the meantime, to paraphrase one of his own quotes: 'I'll believe it when I see it grid up at Daytona.'

Hadnt Blake done some dumb things on and off the track in the last couple years? Perhaps thats why he doesnt have a ride?

If he had what it takes to beat Josh Hayes to the championship, very little else would matter. He is fast as hell, but he doesn't have that extra step that Yosh is looking for. He had his chance.

Not that I recall. Maybe your thinking of how Danny Eslick and RMR split last year?

Blake Young is a quandry alright. Witness his charge from the tail to the win in 7 laps at Road Atlanta. He's got the speed and the talent. I think what is really in question is consistant motivation to apply them fully.

I attended the RA race and witnessed Blake's charge from the back.

A great day at the track.

He's had the top seat in the paddock since Ben S left for the Worlds. Time to find fresh talent. The unfortunate thing is that financially, the state of the paddock is so skinny there is no place for him to ride unless he does a Jake Holden. We know how that went...

I'm sure he will be an upgrade. That other guy should have been good, but he wasn't. Not uncommon to turn people when a company is going through a transition that doesn't work. Clearly, the DMG experience has been a disaster on the revenue side.

But the rules are good! They just need to dump the spec tire rule so the tire companies can start contributing their share to the paddock again. Spec tires seem good for motor racing, but they really are not.

If you read John's World the story is that Atlas was thwarted and undermined at every turn by his superiors. Just my speculation here, but if that is true and nothing has changed, then I would suspect anyone qualified for the job wouldn't even consider taking it, and the food service guy is just a warm ass for the seat. Hope I'm wrong.

Are we ready to pine for the good old days of Roger Edmondson yet?:D

They NEED to announce a TV deal soon. Sponsors are too reluctant to step up without some idea of what kind of coverage they'll get.

Completely unsubstantiated rumor fodder: (friend of a friend of a friend of a friend type stuff).

    1. Pegram will be on a Panigale.

    2. May, Yates and Cory West will all be on EBR's

Dominguez if his FB page is at all accurate.

I'm hearing/reading more and more rumors that Road Atlanta will not, in fact, happen in 2013. :( I've gotten no decent info from anyone on Homestead or NOLA, though. Bummed about R Atl.
