Who has the RIGID spotlights on their bikes and which do you prefer .

I am looking at getting some RIGID LED lights . And was wodering if its best to have 2 spotights , or maybe a an 8" inch bar .

I have the spots. They're awesome. And despite my Hid and Euro headlamp, they provide much added illumination. I'd take pics but she's in my buddy's garage for another few weeks!

I thought a bar would look cool too. It does on quads but I like being able to aim my spots depending on where I am: tight trails, dunes, onroad. Of course you could mount two bars vertically and that would be great lighting.

I added the Rigid 2X2 spots and they work well. I also added the DDM HIDs.
The HIDs are monsters for the close up work, while the spots really take care of the distant objects. Turned out to be a really good combination.

I went with the Rigid spot 1300 lumen. I mounted them on the crash bars. They came with wiring kit and lit on/off switch for about $100 on ebay. As I rarely ride offroad at night, I use these mainly on my country road after dark to spot deer. They turn night into day. I chose 1300 lumen because of the effect on your eyes when you have to turn them off. Its like first turning the lights off in a well lit room at night. Your eyes have to adjust. I cant imagine the adjustment needed for 2300 lumen, or a lightbar! :eek1

We have them on Maya, the lighting is fantastic to say the least ..... however yesterday we had a big rainy day and both lights filled up with water and died!!

Now I am not sure if I am impressed with them or not?

That is EXACTLY what I was looking for . Pretty good feedback . That is why I LOVE ADVRIDER . You can always get a positive feeback on choices .

I too have the 2X2 with the high fender and what's so nice about them is if you're in deer country or riding on a trail with a cliff you can aim toward the side of the road. Very adaptable lighting......

The RIGID brand are waterproff and guaranteed. Ive had mine in all sorts of wet weather. So if yours have failed, RIGID should replace.

Rigid spots mounted on crash bars.

While I love my Rigids when working, there are some issues. My first pair of D1s failed flashing on the bike, circuit boards. My replacement D2s are now full of water. All of this is okay with warranty but I have been traveling the Americas and it is incredibly inconvenient. I can't just send them in.

Yeah just wrote to them tonight.

Deepinit we are in the same boat, wet day yesterday here in Oaxaca Mexico and our lights were full of water and we can't just post em back and fit a new set, see what Cust Service say.

I have the rigid d2 with the fork clamp from ktm twins, the rigid are perfect!! but the low clap suport make them a lot of vibration, and that is not any good for a spotligths..

Has anyone tried mounting a wide light bar right under the stock headlight housing (with an OEM low fender of course)? Something like this one perhaps? http://www.rigidindustries.com/product-p/srseries6.htm

I am thinking of a pair of these lights . Does anyone have experience with the DDM LED lights? They seem to be a good price per lumen.

Craig from CJ designs has also done this with a RIGID light.

I mounted mine using the BDCW crashbar mounts. Keeps them tucked in and low... they work great.

I installed one on my friends 990R and it worked well. So I had planned on doing the same to my Dakar, until I measured my suspension travel and found that there wasn't enough room for the light to fit at full stroke.

I've had good luck with their HIDs. I may give them a try on my next project.
