The lead-free solder coating (step 7) was done on Friday morning, and the panels were delivered at 2pm Friday to get the silkscreen legend applied (step 8). However that step did not happen on Friday as that company's business day ends at 3pm.

The silkscreen legend will easily be done on Monday and the panels delivered for V-scoring. (I'm doing that delivery myself).

As recoveries go, I don't think this was a bad one. I mean, going in cold and getting boards built with new-to-me service providers in 3 weeks time.

Yay for me but... How does this affect the timeline?

Originally the circuit boards would be delivered to me 3 weeks ago. Assembly would begin and product shipping was to start on April 23, one week ago today. As it is now, shipping will begin 2 weeks from today. But, it's a fairly good bet that the very first IICE Air will leave here before that.

Thanks for hanging in there everyone. Really.

Since paypal link in the vendors forum still appears to be there, and you are going to have boards coming out of your ass, can we still order?

No pr Youoblem here Poolside. It's not keeping me from riding AND I'm impressed you've stuck with it. What you're doing isn't exactly a cakewalk.

The silkscreen legend (step 8) was completed and I picked the panels up this morning and delivered them to get V-scored (step 9).

I snuck a peek at them. Ooooooohhh pretty.

V-scoring will be done overnight and I can get there to pick them up on Tuesday afternoon.

Sweet. Another step closer. Still waiting for my road pilot 3's too. Which one will be first, tires or IICE air?

I'm just getting ready to go pick up the finished IICE Air panels!

This V-scoring and routing company works evenings to accommodate the usual daytime scheduling of prior steps in the PCB fabrication process.

I got lucky here with the phone camera, caught the contraption while it wasn't moving.

I'll get some pictures of the finished panels later using my regular camera.

I'm sure I switched off that PayPal link. It isn't active.

Yes that's true. There's gonna to be a mess o' boards here. Thanks for your continued interest, seriously.

For the immediate future though, let me assemble and ship everyone's orders first.

(And in the background there's still the second model to think about, the IICE Cool.)

    <BR>Board report.

I picked these up Tuesday evening.

And here they are! Finished IICE Air boards

The panelized arrays are v-scored, so the individual boards can be snapped apart.

Kind of small. A single board is .880in/22.35mm square.

    <table border="0" cellpadding="5" width="650"><tr><td>Update and Assembly report.

If you haven't been checking in over the past couple of weeks, here's a recap and update.

Originally, boards were to be delivered the first week of April. Assembly would begin after that, and finished IICE are would start shipping on April 23. (Yes I know, that's a Saturday. The Post Office is open Saturdays.)

Due to a problem with the original board vendor, that did not happen. I sourced nearby service providers, and over the last several weeks got PCB panels built locally.

The last of the parts are arriving in the next couple of days. Why just now are parts getting here? Good question. :-) These were things I would have been doing instead of organizing getting the boards built.

I'm planning to start assembly as early as Wednesday the 11th. I'll post up some pics so you can check out what's going on!

    It's almost Post Time.

How can I get myself of one of these, I can't seem to find the link in the Vendors section? Will it work with an '11GS ADV?
