I have noticed that there are no interviews posted this year. Did ES stop airing them or has the community simply passed them up? anyone know?
No interviews have appeared on my radar. Eurosport does not have them listed too. RALLY: Rally Raid - Dakar - Stage 4 http://tv.eurosport.com/tvschedule.shtml Strangely, ever broadcast is a different length.
No Interviews this year. Presume that the budget got cut since they only have one reporter in the field and Carlton doing the voiceover from back home... Check the site, some more goodies may show up over the next 24hours!
Sucks that there are no interviews. I got the impression from previous years that the ASO produced the video and each broadcaster just overdubbed (as I'd seen exact same footage with different announcer) though I thought the French TV coverage was somehow longer .... I guess I need to brush up on my French. Maybe it's just me but this years coverage seems disjointed, previous years the ordering of bikes, quads, cars was more consistent, now it seems to get mixed around throughout the broadcast plus much more time spent covering the previous day. I guess there probably isn't a lot of time to collect all the days footage before the Euro broadcast deadline but I don't recall it being this way in past years .... I have to watch each days footage a couple times now to figure out whats from today's stage and whats from yesterdays which just pisses my wife off twice as much It's still good though, I just wish it was longer as I'd love to see them spend more time on the terrain.
satelite dish fell off my house, Torrent thread to the rescue, I'm in! Panic had set in that i was going to miss the action. Thanks to all involved. And even better it plays direct on my kindle, which is now plugged into the telly, RESULT!!!
Actually, last year, Eurosport had a few more people on the ground and were doing their own interview program, usually at the ASS or in the Bivy depending on how close they were together... The later highlights show would be cut from the ASO provided feed, although I believe it was a specific Eurosport cut, not the same thing aired to all news agencies.
That aint true! Around 20:00 CET there is a 5min-live-report that is not listed in the schedule. I also heard of another 5min some hours earlier but cant remember the time
I hope so. 2 days late is unusual. Usually same day or early next and was until Stage 6. Maybe it was the weekend (i.e. life) got in the way
