Just popping in to say, you lucky bastards! The wife & I just spent a week (with the car unfortunately) in the ash cave area of hocking hills. WOW, the roads in that area are amazing. The up down & arounds. After we had been driving around a couple of days I said, "I wasn't going to mention this, but this would be awesome on the bike."
The wife who is NOT in favor of me riding said, "I was thinking the same thing."
You may have a way to convert non-riders:clap
Couldn't believe I didn't see a dual sport the whole week.

Just curious here. Did you see a lot of cruisers or sportbikes?

Can't say specifically what bikes I saw other than it was mostly cruisers. Did have a harley staying where we were. That steep dirt driveway into the place must have been a hoot 2-up.
Sion, I believe Magna is on the long list of bikes my brother has owned.

Hey guys, this is my first post so be nice. I felt the time was right due to the V65 popping up. Had one myself, fun bike. Took a vaca day next Wednesday and I am going to be heading down and exploring the Wayne National Forest area on my Wee. Tons of covered bridges. Should be great. Have a good one everyone!

Summer in Hocking Hills is usually not too much fun for serious road riders- the area gets congested with RV's, vacationers and pirate parades, even during the week. It's especially bad on the holiday weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day. :waysad The county/township gravel roads, on the other hand, are not too bad- but then, you have to get to them via the main roads, so some patience is still in order, and the ATV/quad presence is growing yearly as well.

Washington/Monroe counties? Lots of great roads depending on the surface type you want. Pretty much all of the state routes are curvy with elevation change and the gravel is good as well. State route 26 between Marietta and Woodsfield is pretty well known for covered bridges. There is quite a bit of truck traffic in Noble and Monroe due to gas wells, so keep an eye out. On 26, the trucks seem to be the worst between Bloomfield (SR260) and Graysville (SR537).

Maybe, let me check the fair schedule to see what is going on. I'm supposed to make 4h milkshakes or hamburgers or some shit a couple of days.

Yeah. Thanks again for the hookup on that bike. It truly was (is) an awesome piece of machinery. I really do love it. I also can recognize when I'm out of my league and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I had a hard time riding it in a smooth, competent manner. Everything was either throttle on, or throttle off. I prefer the 4 strokes for the abilty to lug and the compression braking; they seem more forgiving of fat, lazy motherfuckers like me behind the bars.

I'll keep my WRR and keep riding it as I have been.

What will I get instead? Another Glock 19 with tac light, set up as a twin to my duty gun; and a fatter savings account! :freaky

Well, Tuesday now I think I am going to go up to G and R Tactical and pick up my new piece. They are appointment only and I sent him an email to set it up. I will try to do it early in the AM though.
