All MC's need attention. I've had nothing but good luck with mine, compared to what I read about how horrible of a bike they are. (knocks on wood)
There are so many KLRs on the road that if even one out of a thousand has a problem, it's going to be hundreds of them.
I guess I'll just mosey on into the club here.. Picked it up yesterday, it's an '04. Got lots of plans for this one, less than 15K miles. Question: Has anyone converted theirs into a (more or less) supermoto? Also does anyone have any suggestions for LED turn signals, looking for sleek ones instead of the ugly and goofy looking round ones.

OK. Since the weather has been crappy the last couple of days I worked on some mods. I installed an 8-cell lithium Iron battery, ditched the airbox, installed a dual stage UNI filter, New skid plate, rerouted(hid) some electrics,and installed a new headpipe and put on a shock sock. My IMS tank should be here in a few days.... YeeHaw!
Another inmate asked the same thing.... I will post some pics and a little write up on it when my tank gets here (maybe today) so I can do it all at once.... The battery is small, approx. 4x3x2 in. and it is mounted in the subframe close to the original location....
