Saw this puppy on craigslist for $600, got it for $500.

Though the more i look at it, the more i think it is a cr250. No lights, cr in the VIN, etc.

Needs some work, of course. Mainly new plastics, the front is pretty gross and the back fender isnt there.

I was told it needed a new piston, so i took it apart and found a terrible, terrible surprise.

So looks like i gotta find a new jug.

Other than that, what is the reputation for these bikes? I want to start doing hare scrambles, and i figured this would be better for that than my dr650 lol.

Think i got a good deal? Worst case im sure i could get over $1000 worth of parts off it easy, it has raven wheels, procircuit pipe, and other goodies.

cool... i'm a husky fan. i think you got a decent deal...

reputation? i think they're totally under rated. reliable, quick, '02 seems to be "the" year to get.

CR or WR, it likely has the same gearing... can drop a 6 speed from an earlier bike in it, too.
